A pair of birdies on the 15 pulled one back for the USA team but with a halved 16th the ROTW win the match.ROTW wins 3&2 Ouch! That one hurts. No worries, we will bounce back!

Hi guys I've been waiting on SkinniePost to finish up the Day 1 matches, but he's not played yet. So to keep the momentum going I'll start posting the reports for Day 2 matches tomorrow to avoid having to write a lot of reports at the same time. I did give you all the freedom of when to play your rounds, so it's something I'll work around.

Well, my rd 2 is posted. Shot 64(-6). The wind had me fighting to get into realistic birdie range. A ball in the drink on 12 double bogey didn't help and again couldn't find birdie on the par 5 18th (stroke index 18).. anyway, our round together was somewhat complimentary, Kevin. We shot 59 (-11)🇺🇸

Day 1 Fourballs Match 2Stearns & Fox V Bradford & Sangster The first blow was struck by USA on the 2nd hole as a Stearns birdie put them 1 up. A birdie on the 3rd by Sangster levelled the match and there was no change through 6. A birdie from Fox on the 7th restored the USA's lead and with the next two halved they took a slender lead into the back 9. The next 2 holes went the way of USA to give them a 3 hole lead, then ROTW responded on with birdies from both players on 13. The USA's lead was whittled down to nothing through 15 and 16 and with nothing separating them on the last two holes the match finished a draw. Match finished All Square

Day 2 Fourballs Match 2Gimbel & Gates V Ross & Baker A Baker birdie on the 2nd hole put ROTW 1 hole up then another by him on 4th doubled their lead. The players matched each others scores through 5 to 8 but 2 Ross birdies on the 9th and 10th put the ROTW team 4 up. Ross then won another hole on 13 to give them a 5 hole lead but a pair of pars on 14 for Gates and Gimbel took it back to 4. Phew just as well my third round doesn’t count 69 1 under couldn’t get the ball close and when I did couldn’t hole a putt only three birdies in the round and two bogies. Not playing my last round today if I’m playing like this.

Day 2 Total Stroke Match 3Knight & Ciboch V Gale & Sangster The ROTW guys continued the theme of getting out the blocks quick and were 2 holes up after 2. Knight and Ciboch pulled one back on the 4th but 3 birdies each to Sangster and Gale through 5 to 8 gave ROTW a 4 hole lead. A Knight birdie on 10 gave the USA team some hope but dropped back on the 11th as the ROTW team both birdied the hole. Ciboch's birdie on the 12th kept the Americans in with a chance but once again a pair of birdies seen Gale and Sangster go back to 4 up. Knight and Ciboch weren't giving up as they both shot birdies to cut the lead to 3 with 4 holes to play. Pars all round on the 16th seen the USA's comeback killed off and another point slipped from their grasp. ROTW wins 3&2

Holy schmoly... I am completely baffled as to how I've only been able to muster .5 points in 2 matches. The ROTW opponents must have shot unconscious numbers. Well done!
