Angus Bay International is now open for play.
Ported from the TGC2 course Angus Bay International G. C., ABI is a championship par 73 course following the traditional out in links layout. You won't see a lot of trees at ABI, but you will see a hell of a lot of grass, lots of pot bunkers (31 on the first hole alone) and plenty of gorse, especially on the short but tight par 4 17th hole where the gorse encroaches up to the edge of the fairway.
Other notable holes are the par 3 4th which is played from the top of one large dune to another, the par 5 5th which at over 600 yards from the tips plays downhill to a small green between towering dunes, the par 4 15th which sees the fairway split into two and features two greens, one at each end of the split fairway and the par 4 final hole with the green sitting beneath the majestic clubhouse.
Changes from TGC2 are a third set of tees have been added, the odd bunker has been added to a handful of holes, the previous two tees and four pins have been moved on most holes and with the increase in the plant meter, a feck load more grass has been added to get as close to the links fescue rough as I can and finally the course has been given a tournament dressing with grandstands and crowds added.
The course plays 7,120 yards from the white tees, 7,378 yards from the blue tees and 7,555 yards from the black tees.
I have taken pictures of five of the holes and they are on my PS4. However, I can't find the USB stick I used to use for saving the files on and posting on t'interweb and another USB I found in my bedroom works on PC (I can access the baby and toddler photos of my daughter) but for some reason the PS4 isn't recognizing it when I plug it in. For obvious reasons I'm not reformatting it. I'll have to figure something else out to get pictures on here. Or find the original USB stick.
