Before I get in to bucket lists, I thought I would let some of you know about this change...it was #12 on my list...lol
It's on many people's travel bucket list, but now access to Peru's famous Machu Picchu has become more strictly regulated.
Due to the large numbers heading there with thousands of visitors a day in recent years, officials at the 15th century Incan mountaintop citadel have introduced a new ticketing policy this year.
Amid infrastructure fears about its ability to cope with the large footfall, tourists have to book hour-specific time slots, entering from 6am to 2pm and are only allowed to stay there for up to four hours.
People also have to arrive at the Unesco World Heritage site within an hour of their entry time or they will not be allowed to visit.
Any of you have a bucket list that is doable?
My #1 is to stand at the base of Mt. Everest...too old now to even hike up to the 1st/2nd base camp.

Things I have done... Climbed a mountain (and absolutely sh%$ myself, never doing it again) Rode up l'Alpe d'Huez Skied down a World Cup/Olympics downhill ski run Played golf with a Tour professional (did it when I was a kid!) Shoot an under par round of golf (done it twice) Appear in a TV show (done four times) See the Coliseum Fly in a helicopter
Things I want to do... See the pyramids See Aurora Borealis Visit America (probably do that for the wife's 40th in a few years) Ride over the Grand National course (even though I don't like being on a horse) Play the Old Course at St Andrews (tried once, didn't get in on the ballot) Make a 2 on a par 5
I'm sure I'll think of more later...

nice which pro did you play with? I played with David Gilford, who won the English Open in 1991. He played a hole with all the juniors as part of a ten year anniversary of his coach Paul Symonds being the club professional at Newcastle-under-Lyme Golf Club where I played as a junior as well as Barlaston. I beat him - I birdied the par 5 2nd hole and he made par. I also played against David Lynn - two time European Tour winner and runner up in the USPGA when Rory McIlroy won by a country mile. That was in a junior singles knockout match at Barlaston. He's three or four years older than me. I was 10 or 11 at the time and he gave me close on 30 shots and still beat me 2&1.

Paris is excellent Jacob. Lots of things to see as you would expect and also a lot you wouldn't. The food is fantastic. The people are arrogant twats*.
*On the whole, obviously some aren't.

Not quite on the bucket list, but a couple of really cool things I did last weekend when in Liverpool with the wife...
Stood on the Grand National course. Went to the Cavern Club and British Music Experience (could spend all day in there).

I'm lucky to have got to do a lot the things that I thought of way back in high school that I would want to do. The only three things I can remember thinking of back then that I have not done yet are see the Grand Canyon in person, visit all 50 states, and ride in a hot air balloon.
Here are things that I thought of back then, that I have done.
See Niagara Falls in person Travel to a different country (Mexico) Fly an airplane (fly, not ride in) Drive a real race car (actually did this twice, on Charlotte Motor speedway) Drive a steam engine on a real railroad (this one was sorta on the spot, just had the opportunity and took it, but I include it because it was so cool.) Ski Aspen or Vail (picked Vail when I had the chance to do one) See both the Atlantic and Pacific ocean in person
I think there were more, but at this age, I forget what they were. Those are some of the highlights.

Oh yeah, your “visit all 50 states” goal reminds me of my goal that’s so big that I don’t really even consider it bucket list, but more of a lifetime project, and that’s to golf in every state. Good luck with visiting all of them, JosiaDB !

A short trailer...
I have stood on top of this wall but do not have the balls to try to ascend it. My highest wall was in Colorado while in the USAF and it was 1200 feet of rappelling, not climbing.

Yeah, I haven't played it yet either. I see you're from Hilliard, I am pretty close! I live between Gahanna and Westerville. What are your favorite courses around here? I play Champions a lot since it is close, but Ive played most of the public courses within an hours drive of Columbus. Eaglesticks in Zanesville is one of my favs.

Eaglesticks in Zanesville is one of my favs. My favorite I’ve played is Tartan Fields. I’m not a member, but my brother in law is, so I get out there plenty. As for public courses, my favorite I’ve played is probably Cumberland Trail. (Winding Hollow in New Albany before it closed) I just moved here last summer from Dayton, so while I’ve definitely been around the area a bit, I don’t know quite as much about local courses as I do out west.
