Hi all...I just published Penobscot Bay Golf Links for 2019! Originally released in August on TGC2, I reworked some the fairways, greens, a few bunkers as well as some general sculpting improvements along with some work on the "extras".
This is a fictional course that plays along the coastline of Penobscot Bay, Maine. The inspiration come from The Samoset Resort, and while It is not by any means a RCR of the awesome course, the idea is generated from the point where the 3rd hole, a long uphill par 3, meets the 6 hole to form a double green, with the tee box for the signature 4th along the bay right next to it. While my course has 3 meeting 7 to form the double green next to 4, the rest is creative/original with a variety of holes to test your shot making and short game. Since this course is along the shore, it is designed to be played in the wind. I recommend at least medium wind setting and E or NE, SE direction. But definitely have fun mixing it up, it will play differently in different conditions!
This should be a great course for a match, a tournament, or a relaxing round by the water...have at it and let me know what you think!
Now if I can only figure out how to post a couple of pics here...

Great course. I shot a 3-under 69 in default conditions, no aids. The only blemish I noticed was a patch of rough in the 12th fairway about 105 yards from the pin (set #1).
I love the layout and the views from several holes are spectacular.
Does that area in Maine really have that many trees along the shore?

Sorry about the blemish-- I test these courses over and over and over. That must be before the "Y" split on 12, I think I was pushing the tee shot as close to the water to test it, you might have left one short of the bunker? Yes, there are quite a few trees. Take a look at my avatar on the left, that is me teeing off on 15! Through the trees, you can see the water peeking through. The actual course if fairly open on the front, more trees on the back. When making the course, I added the trees as needed as the Highlands theme was looking too bare/open and too much like a traditional links course, which I was not going for at all...hence some trees were just what I needed.
