When I first started playing, I couldn't get used to the right stick. I switched quickly to the left, although I'm right handed. Do most people stick with the right stick? I use a wired Xbox 360 controller on the PC. Speaking of which, when using course creator, does anyone else have the issue of it very slightly drifting as though you are using the stick juuuuuuust barely? The controller I'm using is second-hand, and I'm wondering if it's got a slight alignment problem which creates that movement in creator mode (which obviously makes me wonder if that affects my swing  . I have a wireless adapter for my PC, but it's a bit more of a pain. I always forgot to turn it on before I started TGC, then I'd have to back out, turn it on, restart.... I'm so lazy.  (perhaps this should have been in driving range -- sorry!  ) |

I'm also on pc with a wired 360 controller. I use the left stick. I'm left handed so the right stick just didn't feel right. I'm just glad swapping sticks was an option for this game cause I don't know that I would have ever gotten used to the right.  BTW....I had some 360 controllers do that drifting thing and they were ones that were getting older (worn). |

I started in the closed beta and only the right stick was available to us so i just got used to it,Though all the other golf games that i played with a controller i always used the left.

I always use the right stick...but now my stick is really loose (can displace it by blowing on it). Might switch over to the left but it will feel weird.

Right handed and use the right thumbstick. Can't seem to get the one thumb swing down at all, so I use both thumbs to swing. Weird I know. Played TW Golf series for years and always used the left thumbstick with one thumb. I blame it on old age.

My friends tell me using two fingers is cheating though lol |

I use the right stick. (Right handed)
Thumb on the bottom of stick and index finger on the top.

I boring old default... if the right stick is the default (which Im sure it is) then that's what I use (xbox controller on pC)

I'm curious about dlw1964 method. Have tried that before and liked it, however I was never able to generate enough "flick" forward to get 100 % power consistently. Actually would prefer to use the thumb and index finger method. Do you pull back with index finger, then "flick" forward with your thumb only ? I do something wrong , lol. Love acidflashback by the way....best avatar/user name combo.

Actually would prefer to use the thumb and index finger method. Do you pull back with index finger, then "flick" forward with your thumb only ? I do something wrong , lol. Love acidflashback by the way....best avatar/user name combo. I do it the same as he does I think. I pull down with my index finger and then push up with my thumb. You just might have to push up harder to get 100% power? It's not really a flick as much as a push. Your finger should stay on the stick. |
