Looking to try a slightly different format going forward. I'll likely be dropping the weekly guest format to focus on the design itself, and see if I can't do a complete design in 24 hours. So while the bones of the show will mostly be the same, there will be a little more emphasis on the designer tools itself, and using those efficiently.

i agree with making it more tools focused, but just to say i like the guest format! maybe keep that sometimes? can't you AND a guest keep it tools focused? discuss each of your technique/use of the tools? For us beginers, seeing TWO good ways of doing something might be TWICE as useful Either way, it's all useful, and i will keep watching with interest

just watched the first one. very helpful. thanks for doing it Great avatar! Gary Golf is probably the reason I ended up buying TGC 2019. Loved Sim Golf, would actually play it all the time even up to just 4 or 5 years ago.

I've been looking up trying to get it back going; apparently it's really tough to get working on win10 tho... I spent a LOT of hours on that game. Obviously nowehere near as technical as tgc, but you really could get creative on it and make some awesome creations. I had an (I think!) Amazing Highlands course with all the buildings in the middle, start off by the sea, then to a park style round the back, then back down to the sea playing up and down to sea/inland/sea along the coast. Quite a few "classic" holes, the rest all highly rated. God, haha, you can tell how into it I was... (Had a pretty awesome tropical one too!)

The best I can muster is having them watch the feed and try and talk me through things, but there's issues with delay, and communications, etc. I think Andre's show handles the "guest segment" better, and gives the guest a better platform, so I figured I'd leave that to him for now. If there's enough interest and/or I figure out a better way to involve guests, then I'd definitely be down to bring that back.

Just a heads up, I'll be cancelling this Monday's show (4/1). I'm not sure I'll be home in time, plus this opens the stage for folks releasing their contest courses.

I'll be off tonight as well, for contest course streams and whatnot.

Wanted to say how much I've appreciated this series in learning how to use the course creator. Your insight is outstanding and I think the new format is great as well - loving the way the course is coming together.
Now, if I could just make bunkers half as good as yours...

Thanks, that means a lot! I'll be back after the major contest stuff settles down. I just didn't want to take away from the courses coming out, plus I've been enjoying a bit of a break.

Hey mattf27Would you be able to do a patch on lighting? I know it's not as exciting as sculpting or planting, but I could really use some insight and tips on how to set it properly.

Hoping Easter Monday won't put you off from a stream tomorrow. These have been awesome so far, even though you say every time that you don't think you'll manage anything, then come up with a hole that's a million times better than anything I manage

Will we get some new little critters and wonderful rainbows to see painted in the designer soon?

Realized I've been neglecting this thread a little bit lately. Between scheduling conflicts and contest stuff, I've been doing the official show every other week instead of every week, with some misc. streaming when I can. The show isn't going anywhere, even if it'll be a little more random and irregular for a bit.
