Hi guys.... My third course honours my favourite travel destination - Banff, Canada
Video Link:
I tried to replicate it as best I can. Not 100% entirely identical but a good result nevertheless.
Feedback is appreciated. I look forward to putting forward more courses during the future.
Cheers, Pingi

HI Stephen,
again i only viewed the flyovers but have a couple of bullet points for you:-
- Add a surface around your tees to take the black lines away, if they are shapes then add rough in exactly the same place as the tees and hit it 3 or 4 times - Get a bit more adventurous - a lot of the holes were pretty straight, and the greens were big ovals mostly - if that was deliberate due to banff then i get it otherwise mix it up a bit - Fairways on edge of 15 have large slopes, need some macro sculpting there - Animals are fun but not on the middle of the fairway or on the edge of the green, that will just annoy people if they end up in play.
Good luck with it....

Stephen, Welcome to the design community! We're always happy to have eager new designers. Since you asked for feedback, I'll be completely honest here: While I think it's a step forward from your first two courses, there's still a lot of fundamental issues. The course doesn't particularly look or play like it's real life counterpart, which is why I strongly recommend against real course recreations for designers just getting started. They require hundreds of hours of work to do well, and a mastery of the tools in the designer. "Inspired by" courses are great, but trying to copy something exactly when you're still learning is a recipe for heartbreak. The playing surfaces (such as fairways, greens) are generally too large, and need some sculpting work so they blend into the surroundings better. There's lots of bunkers that cut into the fairway/green/light rough shapes randomly, which is a common rookie mistake. You'll generally want to give your bunkers a yard to two or space around your surfaces to "breathe," as it helps the look and makes sculpting a lot easier. Your teeboxes sit straight on top of the default texture which gives it a hard dirt edge around it. You'd want to add either a light or heavy rough fringe around them to fix this. I can't really comment on the playability as I only took a brief look at it, but if you wanted a more detailed critique I'd be happy to run through and give you some notes.
