You were kind enough to msg me so ive just woke this cold saturday morning and sat down to play it now. Got an average of 13mph wind which is causing mayhem witg my 2nd shots and struggling to find the small greens on the front 9. Just paused it on hole 12 and thought I'd write a bit from the early play and then continue.
1st thoughts I saw the 2nd hole and loved it straight away. That's definitely my kind of par 3. Nice distance and the look to the green from the tee caught my eye straight away.
I think your paths are too wide from the tee to fairway they make it too strong a look against the fairway and green BUT from seeing yours and how making them wider make them stand out a bit I actually think on my courses I've made mine too narrow as you can barely see them. What have you used? I use 1st cut of rough to do mine as that's kinda how greens keepers would cut them wouldn't they? It's just a permanent walking area from tee to green that isn't really there to be played on bit makes the walk easier to the fairway. So cheers cos I'll make mine wider and give them a stronger look. I do though think it's maybe 2 yards too wide.
I don't like the too straight and square fairways on a few holes. An architect at college always told me that nature isn't ever perfectly straight and uniform so try and let the courses flow more with nature, they'll work better playing wise and definitely look wise. This has definitely proven me right in my opinion as the reason I paused it was hole 12 the par 5. Is just a wonderful looking hole. High tee ground looking down on that nice natural flowing fairway. Got a nice pond on the left and the hills around it frame the hole well for the stadium look you want. The green is a good size against some of the very small greens. Got a Mackenzie in there for different pins. Just a good hole.
Hole 10 so far is my least favourite hole. A bit too narrow and smash par 5 around a lake. Strike index 16 though is surprising? Wonder if everyone has played it off front tee? I have played it off the back tees and 10mph into.
Back to playing...
13 for me has a nice fairway bit the hole is a bit too straight from tee to green a slight angle to it would make it really nice to the eye. 14 is a nice par 3 water in front longish hole but has the downhill element to make it a bit shorter and long clubs land into he hole easier. As it's pretty tough to stop a ball with a 3 iron that I hit. Slight Mackenzie to it pin was at the back. Good tough hole nice for the spectators in the stand.
15 is nice with the elevation changes from fairway to green with the water at the end of the fairway.
17 is a nice short hole that looks alot longer to the eye. Surprised when it said a 9 iron it looks 6 irons distance. I think the placement of that grandstand front right isn't quite right. It blocks off some of the hole to the pros on the back tee. Nearly flying it over the fans. Just needs moving round more to the right to keep that 17 hole amphitheatre you're looking for. 18 good end. Similar to hole 10 but the fairway is wider and gives you that "how much can I bite off the corner?" Thought but still be able to bale shorter and wider if you don't want to risk. Where's 10 doesn't offer that. The green is a tough approach for a 3 iron (again could be because it was into the wind) and the nice run off to the right in front of the stands.
Nice course enjoyed it. Hope the review was ok? You've put some nice detail into the course and some good thoughts with how you want it to be a stadium sawgrass type course. Cheers for the msg.
Feel free to try any of mine and review it. God's links tour and I've just finished Enchanted forest which you may prefer

Christopher, Kent and I played this course last night on our show and we enjoyed our round. Very playable, challenging, and some original design ideas, especially your greens. The full review is archived at TGC Course ReviewWe unfortunately had some connection issues so despite 2 restarts only made it through 16. Most of our suggestions revolved around aethetic choices, which is subjective anyway; the only real criticism i would make is the fairways on several holes start too far out from the tees. From the tips, I with my Pro Clubs could barely make the fairway with driver with a light wind in my face; beginner clubs would not be able to reach them at all. Otherwise, a very enjoyable course, keep up the nice design work!

You can see my full round on Twitch, but I'll put a few comments here.
The main thing that separates this from the best courses is the FW and green shapes. You should use splines for your fairways so they look a little more natural. The functionality of the splines is so much better in 2019. Additionally, try to avoid using stock brushes for your greens and bunkers. Combine brushes or use splines for greens to avoid more than one hole having the same exact green shape.
If you use more of the tools in the designer and less of the automated features, your courses will still play great, and they'll look much more natural.

Shoot me a list of your courses and I'll play them Enchanted Forest God's links tour Royal Athena links Elohim Cliffs Feel free to play any. Enchanted forest is a tribute to some of the famous holes in the world, not exact, just nice tributes with modern twists for the setting. God's links tour is my 1st ever course on golf club 1. That's had a ton of changes to make it a near playable TGC tour course but with the fantasy element that means it probably would never be accepted. Which is fair enough, I do have some pride in how it plays really fair if you hit the right spots on the fairways and greens you can go really low. However don't think about it and you can go the complete opposite and shoot a silly high score. Which is what I like about it. The other 2 I tried to kind of recreate the gods links feel but make it more playable that it could possibly be more accepted to be a TGC tour course. Though they may have a more boring feel they both have some decent signature holes. Watch out for the 17 and 18 hole ending on royal Athena my tribute to st Andrews. Cheers if you do manage to play any. That would be pretty cool.
