Hi guys been a watcher for a while and player since golf club 1. Never posted till now.
This is my 1st ever creation from golf club 1 brought through with a thousand changes and 20+ hours of work on it to create a fantasy course that I believe is Your worthy but probably would never realistically pass. Its a very challenging but fair course where you have to put your ball in the correct positions to maximise chances of a very low score. However get it wrong and your score will equally be very high. This sounds on 1st listen like a silly kind of course. However like Bobby Jones initially hated St Andrews the 1st time he played at the home of golf. He grew to love it for the sheer challenge and varied ways of playing it.
I initially named it "Gods links on Satan's land" as that was how I tried to express the challenge but fun and beauty of trying to play it and ultimately master it!
A few tweaks and the final result is God's links Tour (version)
I do have a back story and can go into details on the names of the holes and explain the thoughts etc.
However 1st I would just love a few of you guys to give it a try. Tell me your whole thoughts good and bad. I won't be offended. Any signature type holes you think wow! Or any you just think nah absolutely not for me.
Perhaps you've played a stroke round on your own or had a challenging skins or matchplay which possibly the course is ideally suited for.
Please feel free to volunteer a round on it or try a few with varying strategies and pin choices. (The pins go 1 is Sunday pins and works back to 4 being Thursday)
And any comments or experiences on the round. Any game breakers to win or lose your competition would be delightful.
Thanks for reading. I'll post a fly over if anyone is interested in watching to increase the appetite or to walk away and say Nope.
Thanks Mike Dean
