Boa Vista is a fantasy course that was designed to just be as fun as possible. There are some severe elevation changes and tiered greens, however the course is still a fair test and offers plenty of opportunities for birdies or better. I hope you give it a go and let me know how you get on.

I had a chance to play this course today and I had a great time! I'm actually somebody who really enjoys to play the fantasy courses with big elevations changes, so I had to give this a go.
Right from the first hole the player gets the sensation that it's not just a fantasy course, but also a pretty well-polished course. The surfaces, plantings, and use of objects were all very good, and that's hard to do on courses with so much craziness going on with the sculpting. At no point did I feel like the course was unfair or ridiculous, which is meant as a compliment of the playability.
For me, the highlights were on 15 and 16, because those holes really get the player's attention!
It was a favorite and 5 stars for me, and I'd bring a group back here for a round of skins!

Thank you for giving it a go! I'm delighted to hear your feedback and that you enjoyed it. I had this course pretty much finished a couple of months ago but was struggling with the plant meter so it went on the back burner. I am glad you thought the course was fair as it was a battle finding the balance between pretty extreme terrain and golf holes that were playable. I'll be looking out for that skins game!

Fantasy courses can be wonderful to play - and look at - if done right, and horrors if done wrong. This one is done right. Not only does it have the huge elevation changes and tight shots that are so rewarding if made successfully, but the aesthetics are gorgeous. The rockwork and planting is top notch. The beaches, especially, are really well done, something I find a lot of the time just don't look very realistic. These do. And the lighting was obviously carefully calculated to bring out all of the beauty of the course from every angle of play. I think the greens are another high point - extremely challenging (but fair), and a LOT of attention to the sculpting. You really need to pay attention to every single approach shot, or you will pay a high price. These were designed very, very well.
Overall a wonderful fantasy course, and a great overall golf course. Highly recommended!

This is such a fun course. Not only that its excellently crafted. Some of the best heavy and natural looking planting I've seen. It definitely has a fantasy feel. I love these kind of courses. Love the huge elevation changes and the quirky holes. It won't see tour but my guess is it will be an altshot/skins favourite. Well 5 stars and a favourite. Keep up the great work.

I would have brought over your favourite water fountain from Sandy Shoal Point if I had known you were going to play it!

We chatted in PMs but I wanted to reiterate that I really enjoyed this course.
The elevation changes were really well done and just the right side of challenging. I love to feel like that tinge of uncertainty when hitting an elevated drive about how far it will carry and roll out and Boa Vista gives delivers on that in the same way as Arctic Fury's Peral Mountain in my view.
I'd echo Greg's comments that your bunkering was first class and I'm grateful for the tips you gave me on how you achieved such great beaches. As Geoff said, the planting was refreshingly heavy (I can certainly see how you must have had fun with the object meter).
I love all the added eye candy: the airport, the swimming pool but was devastated by the fact that you didn't take the opportunity to fill the cave on 18 with crocodiles (but perhaps that's the object meter issue again)
Greens were fair yet challenging and contouring was great. The treacherous 15th green seemed very punishing for anyone missing the fairway, with not many outs from the rough, other than taking your medicine and laying up but the view from that green out to sea was an audible wow moment for me:
On to the negatives! You put the hole in the wrong place twice!
And again!
Clearly neither of these near misses were down to bad luck or my poor judgement! Fortunately, you correctly placed the hole on 18 in place that was covenient for my ball:
Fantastic course. Really well done. Looking forward to your next!

Thank you for the feedback! That's a great ace, I'll have to move those other 2 hole locations and re-submit!

Looking forward to playing skins tonight on our Diamond Cutters show, stealing virtual skins from Jeremy Mayo and Chris "TK" Johns, and choosing my partner to play in our alt shot match.

Just discovered Sandy Shoal Point. No thread for it. Love the tiny greens so far, saving the rest for Maximum Daily tomorrow. For your US Open Course submission you should use tiny greens and tree lined fairways. I mean big old oak or whatever trees with branches hanging over into the fairways. It would appear tougher than it would actually be. I like courses that fool you like that. I think I bugged you about this before. But this tight bowling alley of a setup would be a creative departure from your current wide open undulating works. That I think are awesome as you know.
