I've been playing TGC since the first one but never been involved in any forums, so never was aware of any competitions. I wouldn't say I am brilliant at designing but I enjoy it which I think is the most important thing. I have published two, Dead Pine Lake G.C. and Cartington Hall GC. The main reason for this thread is to find out if there will be any more design competitions inthe near future?

Tagging VctryLnSprts sports on this one as he and the TGCT staff are currently working on more of a standardized design contest schedule. That being said, I probably wouldn't expect any new contests for a couple of months. The winner of the Rookie Design competition should be announced in the next couple of days, then all the attention shifts to the World Cup, with 32 contest courses rolling out during the month of January. Judging and results of that contest will easily take us through February. Long way of saying there will definitely be more contests coming up in the not too distant future, but the exact date/details are still TBA. |

Good, that will give me some time before I start my next course. I'm currently nearing the end of porting Angus Bay International over from TGC2.

Indeed, in the not-too-distant future we'll be releasing a TGC Tours design contest schedule for the 4 main design contests that will be held annually by TGC Tours. That's not to say that other members won't run additional contests, but these would be the ones endorsed officially by the TGCT admins. More details to come!
