Hi guys!
I've started a new project, which is my first real attempt at designing a course from scratch. It is set In the countryside theme and has a decent amount of water. So far I have only completed the tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers of holes 1-5. I haven't done any planting yet, so any vegetation you see is simply what was on the plot to start with. I'm just looking for some feedback and constructive criticism on things I can improve (ie. green size/slope, bunkering, fairways, tee box areas). Any feedback you have that will help me give the holes a more polished look would be greatly appreciated.
My idea for the design of these opening five holes was to ease the player into their round, with generous fairways and opportunities to score low. However, I also wanted to include some risk-reward shots as well. Essentially, they are all designed to be holes where you should get a good look at birdie as long as you hit good shots. I intend to make the real "bite" of the course through the middle stretch, where scoring well will be considerably more difficult.
Thanks!
