With Highgarden Golf Resort now published and has gotten a pretty positive reaction so far, I'm going to keep with the overall GOT theme for my next fantasy project.
I've narrowed it down to 3 areas so far, not 100% decided on it as I'm still working through course ideas and will attempt to bring it all together.
My potential locales - Iron Islands - Riverrun - The Twins
I'm staying away from areas that got/get a lot of TV focus

If you don't do an Iron Islands one, I might... It's gotta have the castle though.

I think Riverrun would be the most manageable, both The Twins and Iron Islands have structures I think would be hard to replicate. Best of luck with whatever you choose, now you've got me thinking about doing one.

Pyke would definitely be the toughest, there's at least 4 or 5 structures there to build so I could maybe look at doing 2 and the rest be in ruins. Could work with it being a modern day impression

Could work with it being a modern day impression That would be awesome, a ruined castle on the cliff and then a big pile of bricks in the ocean with just foundation stones left on the rock columns.

How about the Eyrie ? Swiss theme would be perfect.
Braavos with the canals and the fog/mist ?
I know you want to stay away from the more popular locations but Blackwater Bay, with the course on one side and Kings Landing on the other side would be pretty cool.

I always thought Meereen was a pretty awesome looking place. I know it got a reasonable amount of screen time, but how epic would something like this be.

Relatively easy and costs no plant meter.

The handy thing with the Iron Islands is it can be done with a links course which should let up on the overall planting a bit.

I had a lot of freedom with Highgarden due to it only getting a couple of minutes in season 7. I had a few little Easter Eggs such as the golden roses beside the Gold Tee on the 1st hole. Behind the Castle on 18, there is the Sigils of House Gardiner & House Tyrell planted with hedges.
