I was going for something a bit understated visually and it looks like everyone else is going fancy as hell, so I'm worried. Well the contest was billed as playability being the biggest part...I would hope we can rely on that so simply build the best course and you should be fine. Flash is certainly important but it’s secondary if not tertiary so just do your vision man |

reebdoog is correct, there is nothing wrong with the metrics Griff has used in the past to diagnose the best golf course in the competition, and our judging panel will be run by a highly qualified person who has myriad experience in this realm (it won't be me), so if you build a great golf course with significant care to the architectural concepts of golf design, you will do fine, no matter how many large a$$ rocks gamesdecent can fit in his object meter. ;-)

A) Ryan McConnell can induce a bridge orgasm
B) Justin Smedley can induce a sculpting orgasm
C) Brian Petty can induce a rock orgasm
and
D) Terry Grayson can induce a goat's orgasm

Yeah, so mine's going to be more of a traditional northeast/mid-atlantic countryside course, some links-style elements (probably not as much as Shinnecock, but more than something like Bethpage Black). Doesn't really lend itself to majestic cliffs and mountain vistas but I'll try to gussy it up some.
