Nice, I am glad that I am not perceived as smoking better stuff that originally thought. I've certainly played enough to notice something like that, and I am happy that the greens seem quicker. Just will take some getting used to, and then I will be back on track. It certainly did surprise me though, and these greens were only at 163.

Nope, you're right on point with this one, the greens are a bit faster and the uphill putts are going further. I made this mistake a few times in practice now, so glad to know that ahead of time.

I have a conference call I have to be on this afternoon, so I'm going to bump my Web rounds up a bit to 2:30pm Eastern, streaming on my Twitch channel, username VctryLnSprts. Hope to see you there!

-4, -7, after two rounds...I've got no chance on a semi-tricked up (sorry) precision type golf course.

If I simulate the exact course conditions, can I play my rounds on TGC2 and submit them via screenshot or something?

Just birdied the first then proceeded to very slow a 7-iron sideways into the water on the second. Enough of this game.

So after the sh%$ storm that happened after the patch that destroyed my PC version so I spent another $69 a got it on PS4 so my self and Tenaka can have some good battles once he reaches Euro,,, I found the tempo so different from PC to PS4 and frame rate was slower so I went and bought the PS4 pro hopefully frame rates are a little quicker,
Anyways back to my score I played well ish I guess after getting use to the new tempo, I feel like it’s such a violent swing, it’s so fast now, so I finished with -36 just hope I make the cut as the round 2 score was rubbish I think I was -12 at the half way mark

Here on Tuesday morning the scores are coming in a little higher (worse) than I thought they would. After completing my first 2 rounds I thought the cut would be -13 or -14 with the low winds but if I revise my guess now I would say it'll take -11 to play the weekend.

I remember playing this course after reading about the bridge on #17. It was a fun course. Never played it in TGC 2019 cause I was always off the fairway but now it is much more enjoyable. You can shoot low here, just played a practice round at -13 with a couple missed putts.

After completing my first 2 rounds I thought the cut would be -13 or -14 with the low winds but if I revise my guess now I would say it'll take -11 to play the weekend. I can even see it going to -10 at this point... Cut watch with early round 2 scores posted...technically -9 is in at this moment but only 2 need to better that to bump it to -10, which is a statistical lock. From a -10 perspective, they're at T-54 at the moment so 17 additional people would need to get to -11 or better to bump them. By my calcs there are 6 people on the board through R1 that are either highly likely or guaranteed to get to -11 or better. This includes people anywhere from -6 to -9 through R1 who have yet to play R2. With less wind in R2 I have to think most scores will be at least the same if not better. There are 44 not yet teed off. Assuming the 6 already through R1 that I think will reach do indeed get to -11 or better, that leaves 11 people needing to shoot -11 or better from the not yet teed off group to bump the -10's out. Will 25% of those people do that? My bet is yes. My guess stays at -11 making the weekend and -10 not, but certainly not impossible that -10 sneaks in if there's low participation out of the remaining to tee off group. Edit: Having taken another look at the scores, the pattern of R2 being easier than R1 does appear to be mostly true, but not quite as frequent as I thought. I see 2 people that went 61-68 and scratch my head a little. R2 seemed notably easier to me. Welcome to golf, I suppose. So, maybe not all of my 6 are as guaranteed as I thought, but I still would hold that enough of those that haven't teed off yet will come in and shoot well enough to bump the -10's.

Somewhere between Saturday and today I have lost my swing. If you happen to find it, please notify me immediately. It is a bit shy but responds well to offers of whiskey and Pistachios. All help is deeply appreciated.
Seriously I don't know if it is the Chastner or just me but I honestly feel a bit lost. Tonnes of slow swings, inverted C swings... Going to reinstall the mouse drivers to see if that helps but I think I've just lost the touch.

Didn't find the swing in time when I had to play. Found no swing. -8 for two rounds will be a missed cut but at least I think I managed enough to avoid losing promotion marks.
In the end the course was fine, I really did enjoy it just too many slow backswings. I think I was trying to be too cute and not do the John Daly downswing I was using last week so going to take a day or two off and see if I can regroup. I'm not sure I'll be able to play next week as I'm heading to mother-in-laws for Xmas. I might be back Wednesday but it is weather dependant.
Good luck all!!

I see we’ve had another update and again have an entirely new game to learn.
I guess at least they’re admitting they had it wrong by changing it, but how many swings do they want at it?
For what it’s worth, the tempo seemed s little easier, but with rollout and the short game being so different I’m not bothering to finish this weeks event. May or may not give the game some effort over XMas, there’s a lot of good games out right now...
Good luck comrades, and happy Festivus 👌🏻

A pair of -9's for opening 2 rounds this week, safely inside the cut and hopefully able to mix it for a top 10 finish this week.
Really like the challenge of the course - super precision needed! (tho I'm sure that's annoying if you're on an xbox). The tweak to give extra run on the greens has caught me out a couple of times - that one feels like it's right back to TCGC2 now.
Highlight was a 254yd hole in one on round 2...
