With the constant complaints about wind waiters going on, I was thinking that it might be an idea to split up the tournaments into two sessions. The Thur/Fri session and the Sat/Sun session. Yes people would still have the 4 days to put in their first two rounds, but by delaying the release of R3 and R4 it would stop people putting all 4 scores in during good conditions.
Just a though, and was wondering what everybody thought about it?

I'm not a big fan of this idea for the main reason that giving people just about 36 hours to submit their rounds on the weekend isn't long enough. Some people work on the weekends or have other priorities and one of the golden areas of TGCT rn imo is that you can play your rounds whenever you get the chance.

The extra time/coordination required to create the events over three systems as well as the extra work verifying scores (doubled) due to the split tournaments - I don't see it happening anytime soon. We don't mind doing one off events for a tour every now and then. If we get access to scores that would be a game changer for these types of events.

If round 2 had to be submitted by Friday at midnight then you would have about 36hours to do Saturday and Sunday based on the fact that you have to let people sleep too.

Okay I didn't explain it very well. I have two ideas on how it could be changed. Idea #1 R1&R2 - Sunday - 11:59pm EST (Tournament for R1 and R2 released) R3&R4 - Thursday - 11:59pm EST (R1&R2 due and submit tournament for R3 and R4 released) Sunday - 11:59pm EST - Tournament closed Idea #2 R1 - Sunday - 11:59pm EST (Tournament for R1 released) R2 - Tuesday- 11:59pm EST (Tournament for R2 released) R3 - Thursdau- 11:59pm EST (Tournament for R3 released) R4 - Saturday- 11:59pm EST (Tournament for R4 released) Sunday - 11:59pm EST - Tournament closed

I still don't think it's super viable because you can only play round 4 for 24 hours on your second idea. Although the first idea is a decent solution to wind waiting imo. Add thoes ideas to the wind discussion list

With HB looking into similar wind per tournament round, I think that's our best option at the moment. If they find something, it's possible it could be in the update at the end of the month.

Yes hopefully that is something they can do because that would make tournaments much more "fair?" Not sure if fair is the right word but you know what I mean.
