An odd thing happened last night. You know how after you playtest the loading screen to get back to the designer is the first tee of your course? Well, mine looked kinda weird. All skewed in terms of elevation. It was as if I had taken the brush with the big dots and flattened down 2 feet over the whole area. When I got back to the designer, I headed over there and sure enough, everything was all wrinkled. The general sculpting was still there, like the tee boxes were in the same positions, but with really messed up elevation - lots of wrinkles. Now in theory, I could have messed up that area while flattening my clubhouse area nearby, but I don't think so. I did a lot of fuzzy brush flattening around the clubhouse and a small town area that will be in that general area, but I'm usually pretty careful and I don't destroy elevation work I've already done. The 1st green wasn't affected, but the landing area in the FW and tee boxes were. And only on the first hole. Not the ninth or 10th which are right there also. I have 13 holes finished and only the first 250 yards of the first hole was jacked up. I was a little panicked so I didn't take a screenshot. It took about an hour to fix it.
This was on my contest course so my heart skippd a few beats. I'm wondering if any of you have experienced the same thing? Could this be similar to the publishing errors that mess up greens? I didn't publish a beta, but I've been playing it outside the designer regularly to test wind. It's either a weird glitch or just some careless brush work.

Did you change the "hills" setting?

Did you change the "hills" setting? Nope. The only thing I did was some large scale smoothing around the clubhouse (where it's going to be anyhow) and a small area closer to the 10th hole.

I can't think of anything else other than an accident. It's weird that it only affects one area.
