thanks for the reply guys! Someone said they stabelize the controller with their hand. I tried that and was all over the place. Cud do that if I want to count 10 or 12 strokes per hole. Not much fun in that. My putting is quite good. About 1.5 to 1.7 per hole. The problem is hitting it straight to get there. As far as playing more I play about 6 hours a day every day. Not sure how many the other guys play? I look at it this way with this analogy! If you were new to playing basketball and you were only shooting using both hands on the ball all the time to shoot(kinda like how you pass a ball) instead of using the proper one handed method of follow thru. Then you wud never ever get really good cuz you are doing it the wrong way. That's why I said about practise being kinda useless in the long run. You can practise all you want, but if you are doing it wrong in the first place then you will never ever get good. Don't know, but I have both a x box as well as a logi tech controller and if I use my hand sitting on my lap there is no difference in my swing at all. Both are all over the place. Unless I use a method to stop the controller from moving when I swing. Which I do. Which makes a huge difference. Since no one else wants to give their little secrets away. Then I won't say how I do it either to get a +7.0 handicap. All I am saying is that just sitting it on my lap to swing...well let's just say I count 10 to 12 shots per hole. About 10 shots to get it to the green. Anyways. that's all I am saying. Not trying to offend anyone. Just wud be nice to have some help. Thanks.

Some players (I don't so can't offer specific tips) place their controller on a table top or a cushion and grab the analog like a chess piece and move the controller that way.
I just hold mine with both hands and use the right analog with my right thumb. It is noted to be easier on the PS4 with a dualshock 4 it seems, though, so luck of the draw for me I suppose.

No one is keeping secrets from you we’ve all played the game for a good few years and found out how we best swing, I’ve told you how I do it so I suggest you find out your own way of keeping the pad still. People are trying to help you but you don’t seem to or want to listen, tape it to a table top with gaffer tape if you have to.

The gameplay secrets aren’t in the physical control of the devices. It’s in learning how to approach the greens, land it where you want to, predicting rollout and only ever leaving uphill putts of less than 15 feet.
There are many people who shoot well having mastered the above that all hold the controllers differently.

Thanks for all the replys guys! I think I have found a way to hit the ball consistently straight and long distances. I don't know. This isn't my first golfing game I have played online, but it is definitely the most difficult. I like the challenge. Guess I just have to find a way to be consistent and go thru the learning curve. See you out on the links!
