Welcome to week 4 of the web.com and our visit to The Cannon at Deception Cove. With the season well and truly under way, we are now in the position where those promotion and demotion marks come into play. From this week om, players will be fighting for that spot on the Euro tour, or battling to stay here on the web, it makes each round that more important. The designers of this course @chrashbird has written about the course which he has asked me to repeat here. “ Delta themed course set on the island of Boomer’s Bay, where legend has it 200 years earlier the infamous master of disguise “Lil” Stevico tried to infiltrate the local population so he could gain access to their cannon and blow up the extinct volcano, which would flood the harbor and capsize the fleet of ships stationed there.
His plan however was thwarted by Anders “Sudoku” Oakville and his assistant Jeff Dog the Bounty Hunter after they discovered his real identity. All Stevico could do was fire off one shot which didn’t cause too much destruction before he was caught and sent into exile at.deception Cove” and it is not uncommon to find members of the Chocolate Kush Society hanging out in the cave when the sun goes down.
* The events depicted in this write up are fictitious. Any similarity to any person living or dead is merely coincidental.
So have fun and good luck.

All the best guys, tried giving you a mixture of conditions too keep it interesting. Club selection could be key with the longer holes on the back 9, play for par on those and you should be fine.
Thanks for the selection Dan, was a pleasure working with you.
Enjoy and have fun.

Had a practice round a couple of days ago, nice course. If I remember most of the par 4's are quite long, and into a head wind will be very challenging. Made my first cut last week and had a decent finish, so hoping for the same this week. I am very impressed with the mixture of courses so far, good job lads. Good luck out there everyone.

It was at this very event two years ago where I earned the Web card I have held ever since. Someday just host a 2nd Webiversary party for me because it would be lame for me to do it myself.

After missing the cut in week 1, I’ve now made the last couple and look to keep that momentum going this week. I’ll play my rounds on my Twitch channel on Monday afternoon. Good luck everyone!

I have the day off tomorrow so should be able to tune in, just remember it was designed by the losing Ryder Cup vice captain......any phantom putts, plugged lies or off tempo shots are merely coincidental

Great course. Really makes you think about your drives and sometimes you're better off taking a smaller club. Had a dream first round of - 12. Hopefully I can keep it up but it will be hard to. Match that score another round.

I'll be streaming my week 4 rounds of the Web.com tour at 3pm Eastern on twitch.tv/vctrylnsprts for anyone interested in heckling me (or cheering me on with bits for birdies).
UPDATE: 69-78 = +3 for the cut, so going home this week, and probably getting at least 1 demotion mark finally. I did not play this course well AT ALL, nobody to blame but me. My attitude got pretty bad early in round 2 as well, so that didn't help.
Good luck everyone!

Played probably my most solid round of the season in R1 and was happy with -7. Then R2 totally whipped my ass including a 7 on the 18th par 3. +5 in R2 and -2 total will miss the cut...again! Good luck all!

I have to say on most holes you CAN use the driver if you want but some of them just get very hard. Fairways can become very tight, water and rough comes into play. So be careful

Hmm....
Complete roller coaster for me this week.
65 73 63 70
Left me at -6 for the cut, and -17 total
Really killed myself in Rd with about 7000 bogeys! Dropped 4 shots in the last 3 holes to kill my chances of making the cut.
