Just figuring this out now myself, but it seems tempo on the downswing is way easier if you stop yourself short on the backswing. So try and club up a bit and then aim for 90-95% power. Lots of fast backswings so lots of times you don't need to club up even.

ive also realised that a brief pause at the top actually improves a PP outcome, this is totally opposite to what you need to do for a 'normal' swing

Figure out the tempo and they are quite lovely to be honest. Spend some time in the range and just figure out what P/P tempo is with the pitch. It's different from the normal swing. Once you get it figured out they play like a peach.

It's really a "feel" thing, but extremely playable once you get it. I actually use pitches all the way up to 5i to combat the wind. I use pitches as much as I can to be honest. Once I figured it out I was amazed at how accurate they played. I still can't putt for @!$#, but that's another story.

Also, wind has a decided effect on pitch shots.

My biggest problem with them is that when you are slow at the top at all the pitch veers wildly to the right. it's is not the same ratio for fast.
