Just had a scenario where i hit into the rocks near the beach. After trying to get out unsuccessfully, i decided to take an unplayable. However, there was no place that I was allowed to drop. I kept going back as far as i could....through rocks and water until i ran out of space without being allowed a location to drop so i had to quit the game

It's a pity the game doesn't allow you to move sideways. As long as you are further from the pin from where your ball landed I don't see what the problem is. I really thought HB would have sorted this problem out, as it existed in the two previous versions.

You do not need to quit when you have no where to drop.

You do not need to quit when you have no where to drop. Can you play from the shot selection from 2 or 3 shots ago? The problem is, I was boxed in and tried to swing my way out of it but was still boxed in so return to the "previous" shot location would still put me in the same dilemma.

Unfortunately no andy6467. You would have had to take the unplayable as soon as you got boxed in. I actually did the same thing as you back in the 2017 season and I took the max score on the hole so I get it! Just need to make a judgement call right away and if you are in doubt... way better to give up a stroke and re-take your last shot than to risk getting stuck.

Gotcha...thanks for the feedback. i didnt know there was a max score. will the game just shut you down once your reach that score or do you have to go through the menu options to put down the max score? and what is the max score?

The game will only let you take a certain number of strokes on a hole. Once that limit is reached it will automatically move you to the next tee. I think the max number of strokes for a par 4 is 11... but don't quote me on that. And I think it's different for par 3's and 5's but all holes have a max. You don't have to do anything but keep whacking the ball until you are sent to the next hole. It will automatically mark down the max score on your scorecard and you continue your round from there.
