I now prefer to putt even if i was well off the green (even deep into the primary rough). Not sure if others think the same.

Work with it and you'll be holing chips left and right! Just be careful of the downhillers

sroel908: Green firmness is more about how the ball interacts with the putting surface when you hit an approach into it. A soft green is more receptive, and will allow more backspin than a firm one. A firm green will have less bite and more rollout. Nov 18, 2024 15:57:00 GMT -5
