That's my goal - want to get into the elite leagues. Need my best rounds to date I would think, beating -31 of last week. |

I just wanna make sure I'm understanding this whole promo thing. If I place top 10 in this event don't I go straight to PGA? This post has me confused from my initial understanding. I'm still kinda new to all this. Freaking out over here. |

It's an extremely complicated equation based on who above you would be playing with pro clubs (therefore eligible only to promote to cc-A max) and who is already on a higher tour. Basically just score as well as you can! You can get a rough idea of how you're doing as it goes along, people will be talking about it in here. If you go to thread for the #3 promo event you will see some good explanations and predictions as the event went on... |

Pro clubs? I thought you had to use MC in all the qualifying events? I I don't think these guys understand. Or maybe I'm completely wrong here, but I doubt that.

Totally different to the qualifying to the Majors - where you DO have to use Masters (since you're playing a qualifier for an event on the PGA Tour - which requires Masters)
In the promotion events, given that it's an event for ALL tours - both pro and masters are allowed - with the proviso that anyone using pro clubs cannot be promoted higher than CC-A (which is the highest tour that allows pro club)
Totally logical due to that - so yeah, you are wrong  |

Gotcha. I'm in CC-A so I didn't even realize players could use pro clubs for the lower tours. Like CC-F trying to move straight to CC-A? Guess thats why he said it was complicated. I just thought these events were strictly to get into the PGA. That was the whole confusion.

I just thought these events were strictly to get into the PGA. That was the whole confusion. An admin will soon let everyone know how many new places are available in each tour flight. As you are in CC-A, you will ONLY be interested in players using masters clubs. Calculate your placing amongst only masters users off the leaderboard and you will know which of the pro tours you are potentially on target to promote to. |
