Fast tracking my way to CC-B with a crappy +2 through 36. Nothing against the designer but I personally: Hate Links courses. Hate RCR's. Hate Master Clubs (on the PC using XBox for Windows controller). Hate there's no cut on the Challenge Circuit, so obviously.... Hate that I have to play 2 more rounds. Love that next week I'm on (shared) home soil & I can drop to Pro clubs to start wiping out the demotion marks

Finished up last 3 rounds yesterday already, really enjoyed the course. Round 2 the links breeze huffed and puffed the loudest, decided to pack my gold crusted putter with the triple magic booster for that round. The one that is crafted by the thunder dwarf that can only be visited if xmas coincides with a full moon. The trip to his cabin alone is a perilous journey laden with crafty traps, foul mouthed beer drinking witches and chocolate smelting fire breathing dragons. Legend has it that putter is only good for 18 holes and no more. Made some sick putts during 2nd and 3rd rounds, some big curling breakers, some over 40 feet, some for par saves. Managed to stretch the magic for almost 2 full rounds. On 17th in 3rd round the putter went poof. Missed a tap in 7 footer for bird, 18th had a tap in double breaker 15 footer which slipped by again, smh (by then I expected everything to drop honestly) Should have heeded the warning signs and called it a day but was enjoying the course and soldiered on. Last round kicked me in the nuts for the most part, missed a lot of very makeable putts early on, made 2 bogeys and a double somewhere, back 9 the putter spluttered back to life and somehow managed to salvage a passable score for the round considering the 4 dropped shots and missed opportunities. Added -11, -9 and -5 to my opening -6. Normally -31 would be nowhere but from reading the forums maybe good enough for top half of l/b this time by? If not, still had a lot of fun

Played really well in R1 where even my misses ended up being good -10! Putter was pretty good with made putts of 37' and 31'.
Started R2 and made it through the front 9. Swing all over the place, +1 so far, but I did get my first Hole-in-One on TGC19!
Well after that up and down front 9 where I had a stretch that went birdie, bogey, bogey, double bogey, ACE, I settled down and shot -5 on the back.
R3 the putter was cold and had to birdie the last 3 (which I felt was pretty impressive) to get to -6.
Hats off to John Yates with a 55! in those round 2 winds with only 15 putts. Amazing!

Really enjoying the challenge of playing Portrush this week
Places a high premium on hitting greens and making sure you are on the right level, not sure I agreed with 22mph winds in R2 though!
Personally, -12 through two rounds, starting to get my swing back in order after an up and down month, putting still needs work, looking forward to the final two rounds

Just found out that I played my first round with a broken controller, so I was level par after 1 round. I was wondering why I had been playing so poorly the past week, my right stick was banjaxed. A -9 round 2 makes me feel a bit better, but can't help but feel that I could be near the top of the leaderboard if I had realised. Ah well, I'll be happy if I don't lose a promotion mark...

A good tournament for me I would score in the mid thirty under finished this one at -26 under and got two strikes. Played all four rounds with master clubs on Xbox and felt I didn’t play to bad and what’s my reward for playing them, two strikes and a demotion. I really want to play master clubs but not if I’m going to end up on the very lowest tour, I play this game every day where is the incentive for me to play master clubs on Xbox where we know they are at a disadvantage to other platforms. Keep at it, everyone has bad days with the masters. Mines is hit and miss but I keep plugging away and my game has improved, yours will too. Is it more having swing issues that cause you to score less thanks to fasts etc?

Portrush is a tough one this week, hope everyone avoided the tin cup meltdown I had on the 1st in round 4 lol, +4 7. Played too cute, which you CAN'T do at this course, if you have doubts with the wind, play safe. 😊

I am staying with them my driving is good it’s accuracy with the irons that suffer due to fast downswings, if you play for one but don’t get it you come up short if you play for perfect and you get it your off the back. Proximity to the hole is getting better though the more I play with them but I still get the odd very fast swing out of nowhere with the irons mostly.

I’m not bad at Portrush this week sitting at -10 after three which is good for me with masters.

I've had a terrible week I finished at -6, I switched to Pro clubs for the last round just so it wasn't too much of a grind. I thought it was a well done course but it's the type of course I struggle with. Although the high winds make it harder I have no problem with them being used as clearly other players seem to manage to score ok with them.
I'll probably be heading to Bourg en Bresse with 2 red marks on my tour card, but I think fighting for or against marks makes the rounds a bit more exciting.

2 under for the event.... back to back -1's for rounds 3 & 4. I get that some folks enjoy that type of course & challenge but I'm so glad it's over. My poor play has left me staring down the barrel now & evasive action is required so I'll be dropping to Pro clubs in a last gasp effort of remaining in CC-A..................

I am on the same trajectory as you. I'm in 120 something place after 2 rounds and unless magic happens, I smell another few red ticks coming my way. And to think, a few months ago I had 4 green marks. My how things have changed. Golf (even the virtual kind) is a funny little game.

Finished rd 1 at -1 but still, no chance to make the cut as I'd be stampeded by the PGA monsters rushing passed me.

Man, what a fun 4 rounds of golf. I like seeing everyone struggling a bit and having the top only in the upper -20s, makes it feel like everyone still has a shot if they just get one or two great rounds put together. It seemed like every round was a grind and I had so many putts just slip by the hole. -5, -6, -2, -7 for a -20. Might finish higher than I think but should have been so much higher.
