I feel like wind doesn't affect pitch shots as much as they do normal ones. They're not in the air as long or as high to get pushed as much.

I know it affects them, just not sure how much.
I really have no good advice. Most of mine are just mediocre.
Foot lies affect them way more than wind for sure.

I feel wind doesn’t affect shots anywhere near like it didn’t In 2.
The swing is much more relevant to the end result of a shot

Yeah I can’t figure out how to be consistent with pitches. I usually get F/P swings. But head and tail wind and elevation baffle me. One time I will pitch into an elevated green with a headwind using .5 yards for every mph of wind 1-2yd for every yard elevation. And it turns out great. The next time the same F/P swing to the elevated green touches down a couple ft short of the hole and rolls 12ft past. The next time the shot comes up 9ft short. Even if you just go by where the ball touches down it’s inconsistent. Only thing I can figure is the lie (uphill/straight/downhill) has a more significant effect than it did in TGC2. Wind seems maybe just a bit less effect than TGC2 and of course rollout is more.
I’d rather try and land further and use a normal swing or closer and use a flop.

For wind I normally play pitches at 1/3 of the wind for a full iron shot. For a 9 MPH cross wind I'll adjust my aim the same as I would for a 3 MPH cross wind for an iron.
Elevation I'm still getting a feel with so don't know how helpful I can be there. Currently it's mostly feel for me. Just keep in mind pitches come in at a lower trajectory than a full shot so for large uphill elevations it's normally going to roll out more since it's coming in so shallow.

I find pitches so inconsistent I will always play a shorter shot, looking to leave myself around 130-140 rather than pitching distances as I know I can pretty much dial in the former, which I can't the latter.

The pearl mountain rounds will present us with a choice between a pitch or a full shot with ~23 mph wind. Have you decided your strat?

I think the key to pitching is not to have great tempo. Playing to the correct distances in order to reduce the amount of lofting is also key. Make sure you allow for roll out depending on the slope you are hitting into. I have found both the wind and the lie affect the shot, but the green slope is the most important. Flop when possible and beware on the pitch when lofting up as the cone nearly is completely gone. (A great change in the new game). Also, go to the range (not the practice green) and hit pitch shots with varied lofts....knowing what each one does with half loft and half de-loft will really help your scoring. Good Luck!

I don't feel wind or elevation really effects pitches. I've stood there shaking my head with 15mph in my face and 30ft uphill and I fly the green? No Clue except it really doesn't effect it much, I've stopped playing the wind with pitches except for left to right a bit.
