MAJORHIGHI think the course has been shut 3-4 years, played it a good few times when it was open, some very interesting holes. It was a championship course with a 9 holes (Kames) next to it, the facilities were very good. Suffered from location so far from Glasgow and Edinburgh and the farmer who owned/maintained it moved on. If I remember 4th was a interesting par 3 8-12 was a good stretch and 18 was a tough par 3 to finish

So hard to believe that a course that appeared so well maintained is now a sheep pasture. But apparently, looks were a bit deceiving and the course had become quite bad.

The owner left basically, disease/moss and all the other things that happen when a course is left alone took over.
Are you able to see the info I posted, it was a nice course when at its best

Reminds me of this one course in my area that closed in 2014... very nice design and pretty well maintained but it was closed because of ownership problems. Looks like a good project to take on, I look forward to seeing what you do with it!
