Hi all, I'm new to TGCTours, but I've been playing TGC since the first one was released. Just a couple of questions about the Q-Schools system. I've read that I need to play Master clubs to be able to access the Pro Tours and I don't know if I've practiced enough to use them. If I use the Pro clubs, I'll go to the CC tours, which I think it's fine to start (isn't it?). But if I decide later to try to move to the pro tours, I'd need to wait until the next Q-School it's set up? If so, how long will be this season? Is there any chance to gain access to the Pro tour through the CC Tours, winning tournaments, making points or so? Haven't decided yet which club will use...need advice. Thanks! If you want to try to get on a pro tour, just switch to master clubs and try to get promoted from your current tour by accumulating promotion points. You get these by winnning, placing top 5, top 10 etc.

Saying 1 hour to go on tgc website. But theres still 20 hours left until it starts on game? Details, details......... lmao! I think the counter might be wrong on the website. In TGC2 the events would open 6pm Sunday (My time in Australia) which is 20hrs from now.

There are ways to get promoted but it will be difficult this season.. If I were you, I would do Q School using Masters Clubs and go from there.. You can always go down to Pro clubs after Q School and try them on different tourneys.. But it is a decision you have to make.. Below are some of Doyleys notes from this thread.. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/16010/season-5-update-readPromotion/Demotion Changes

Movement among the levels happens throughout the season, so once you make it to CC-A you'll be able to earn a promotion to the Pros as long as you're using Master clubs. From CC-B down to CC-Z club set choice will not hinder your ability to move up or down the ranks. If you're anticipating CC regardless of what clubs you use then it doesn't really matter which you go with, although it seems likely you'd finish worse and start in a lower tier if you use Masters clubs in Q-School. Throughout the season you can switch freely back-and-forth between club sets if you want as you try to work your way up the ranks so Q-School selection comes with no long term commitment to one set or the other. In your case I'd say go with the clubs you most enjoy using as Q-School courses can often be frustrating enough without having to fight your swing as well.

This is going to suck, I can't seem to get anywhere near level par on Bedes, I now hate that course with the power of 1000 shanks. Might do Q-School with Masters and then switch to Pro when I inevitably hit CC-<?> and then sandbag myself into the CC world, makes no difference for me as I spent most of TGC & TGC2 in CC. I'll awaiting the usual -13 scores from the top chaps next week. With the much easier gameplay you can expect -16 or so.

That or my xbox controller is on it's way out, yeah that's probably it - I can live with that!

No - the settings listed arejust alphabetical - so all it is saying is there will be default and high winds during the event - but no indication as to which round each of the conditions might be on or how often it is set as either condition....

Funtastic. They’ll probably set all four rounds to high winds then.
Pretty pointless exercise doing that spreadsheet too really lol

TBH the debate of what club set to use is all bullshit, discussing things just to discuss it because you're bored. IMO everyone should just use master clubs in Q-School and go from there. If you really arent good, fine I get it. But I know there will be plenty of good players that dont want to play with master clubs or with the wind number off, so they'll use pro clubs to get to CC-A and stay there, which is practically sandbagging. Pro tours wont get any players moving up because most of the top CC-A players will be pro club users that insist they stay there. Just use master clubs in Q-School and let the chips fall where they may, stop trying to game the system ffs.
