Hey Neil, who do you suppose provided those distances to Justin Rose? Part of the game is learning those things yourself...that’s what separates players. You have your thoughts here but I couldn’t disagree more. Take one day where you may play rounds and sub that with creating an easy course you can use to gather distance info and you’ll have your charts. Don't listen to this guy! Pfffttt! Seriously, though...he speaks the wisdom. I'm redoing my clubs tomorrow or Sunday before next week's tour rounds. I only want carry distances for full loft/deloft. I don't care about the in between. Also, I don't care about roll. Roll is, like Bob said, based on numerous factors of green speed, slope, firmness, foot lies and wind direction/speed. Before the patch I could hit a fully delofted SW and know that it would fly 121 yards. (Others might disagree with this assessment.) That piece of advice meant that I had ZERO need for a GW in my bag. I could manufacture my own distances with the LW, SW, and PW as needed by manipulating loft. It really doesn't take that long to get the numbers. Hang in there. thats a good idea cos I feel I’m a club short at the top end of the bag between 184/200 with the pro set.

Great if you have the spare time to actually do this stuff - I just don't. All I want is what was promised - trying to get a consistent number requires use of the range, and I cannot set the wind to zero there so I cannot get a baseline. If I try this on a course, I have to play the hole as I cannot simply stand on a tee box and hit shots, making notes, until I get 5 perfect/perfect numbers so I can get an average. Believe me I have tried and for me it just does not work trying to get yardages from an actual course. I don't understand why it is so difficult and causes so much controversy asking HB to make good on their promises. If they had not outright said this was going to happen I would not be nearly as fed up with it - it is the broken promises that get to me.

Use the designer and create a course. Make a hole surrounded by water with tee box just above water level. DO NOT PUBLISH. You can then play that hole in the designer and crank out shot after shot and it drops ball right back at tee. Pretty simple. Yes it takes a few minutes to create the hole. Maybe somebody has published one if you search but there is no wind in the designer. You can map out all your standard shots with loft box in an hour. If you need them that is the best way. Then create a perfect flat hole and check your rollout if you wish.

Use Hall o Fame driving rang...e is missing in word range...use in play now and u can set wind to 0...all 18 holes shoot out on to water
