I too have noticed this on ps4 but only on newer courses. One of my favourite courses I have played so far is bison run but it takes so long tl(about 3 minutes) to load and it has by far been the worst for experiencing this, it must be linked to the new themes and all the extra detail in the courses causing lag!!!

It seems to happen a lot to me when playing a heavily planted course

just got 92, 96, 90, 99% to death on the next Euro tournament. Needless to say Hidden Links is not a place you want to come up short. Not sure what caused it. Hidden Links seemed to load up very fast and is without many objects. Oh well.

It's infuriating when you play a course that requires such precision distance control.

It's not a bug in my opinion. I experienced this all the time until I read the post from Adamhb about not letting the controller stick move back toward the neutral position in the slightest. Once I started on making a true transition and not allow the stick to float back to the middle before moving it up, I never get sub 100%!

I wonder if it's not registering a full backswing position then. For me, My follow-through (up swing) is fast and violent.

THIS EXACTLY, I play on Xbox 1, and only get less than 100% when I want to, or when I STUFF it up, those having issues getting 100% are just STUFFING it up, often, end of story.

I don't know what STUFFING it up means Andrew. But here's more information about this. I NEVER got below 100% when I wanted 100% until the patch with the countryside theme was released. Now it happens ~3-6x a round. Pretty sure as an engineer I found the point of cause for the turn-on of the issue- the patch. What did the patch do I'm not exactly sure, but it DID change the visual settings and add more sliders (like # generated trees, etc). Then this issue immediately turned on. I don't think it's user error unless I forgot how to play after 300 rounds.

PS: just played 36 holes on the trot, and hit every shot at 100%.

Not neccessarily true buddy. Ive worked on troubleshooting game issues and there ARE differences between users that can result in one having issues and the other not. Here are just a few examples to give you an idea: - different SKU's of consoles can have differences - hard drive size - one user playing on external HD the other not - different server banks - different online carrier, router, modem, NAT settings - Kinect on/off - particular other games installed (yes, I have seen this be a cause) - amount of space left on HD - ingame options turned on/off (ghosts, turn-based, dof, right/left stick, etc) - order of events (playing online match prior, certain type of course loaded prior, etc) - hundreds more (and better) examples better if point not proven yet
These kind of things can give developers fits trying to troubleshoot - they are hard to identify, replicate, and fix. It is completely unfair to crack at someone by saying "user error" when there are many more potential root causes that you dont even appear to realize can exist.

I'm playing on PC, not XB1. The issue turned on for me on the PC.

I'm playing on PC, not XB1. The issue turned on for me on the PC. I also own the pc version, I infrequently play on pc anymore but haven't had the same issues you describe, when I do. But the title of this thread lead me to believe you were referring to your xbox 1 version of the game which i know you own and did play on frequently, in the past. Anyway no further unwanted comment from me on this non issue, as far as I am concerned this nothing but poor execution of the thumb stick stroke mechanic by the user having the problem.

So because you have a penis, other humans can't have a vagina? Because it's 9pm where you are, it can't be 7am elsewhere in the world? Because you don't have the flu, people who do are making it up and it's a 'non-issue'? Your logic is terrible.
It's not a 'user' problem, it's a problem users are having...and I have enough empirical evidence to support my claims.
How about this...I'll fly you to my house and you play my TGC copy on my computer. Play 4 rounds. If you get any shots under 100% you owe me $50,000. If you hit all 100% shots I pay you $50,000. Deal?

If it's a non-issue, riddle me this: 4 of us playing The Golf Club together, all on PS4. We are playing as Live Rivals, not turned based, using ghost balls. We are speaking with each other using PS4 party chat during the round, so we can communicate what is happening in real time with each other. We are scattered all over, one guy in UK, one in Canada, 2 in the US. On the same course, at the same time, all of us would get reduced power shots in certain spots. To the extent that when one of us got it, we would warn the others so they could club up to offset it. What sounds more likely: - Option A: All of us, on those 3-4 occasions, but only on the exact same shot, make the exact same mis-swing with the exact same reduced power effect. or - Option B: There is some sort of glitch that manifests itself causing the problem
