I use master clubs only and have been plagued by 2 problems....any help would be appreciated
1. I am battling a very fast downswing ...at least 25% of the time. I bet if I used pro clubs this would not happen This was a 100% joke guys.
2. when I try to correct, I am getting a 95% swing instead of 100%
Anyone with advice or tips? (My friend told me to take 2 weeks off and then quit.) Right now I am shooting between -6 and +2 with the above flaws really hurting my scoring in very limited time playing the game.
Thanks for any replies, and good luck to all in Q-school.

I had this problem for a while too (on ps4) I had to stop flicking the stick forward like I would in TGC2 and actually push it forward instead. Not sure if this helps or not

For me, the key is to watch my golfer swing and use that as a guide to start the downswing. This is totally different than what most did in TGC2 which was to never look at the screen while swinging. As I see it, the best swings are ones that do not stop anywhere, but are not rushed. In other words, make sure your golf never pauses during the swing, but make sure the downswing starts right on time instead of quickly and early.
Also, as with TGC2, the direction of the stick has something to do with tempo. Missing the stripe (not cone this time lol) to the left will lend itself to a fast (or very fast) result more often than a miss to the right, and vice versa. What I mean is, if you're trying to not miss left and you put a little "right" English on it, you will likely get a perfect/slow for a swing. The opposite is also true. I have no facts or hard data to back that up, other than my own experience.

After having played several more rounds in the past couple weeks than i did at first i am starting to get the feel for the tempo. I struggled with everything from slow to very fast downswing and never knew what would happen. Now like a real golf swing i can instantly tell when i hit a bad shot...i don't need to see it i can feel it. I am on the PS4 console by the way. You just have to use a nice smooth swing and not try to add power by going faster on the backswing or downswing. Like in real golf sometimes i kind of think that i need to add a little extra to make a shot happen and that's when i mess up...when in reality it's just a game and even if you just play it smooth you'll get a good tempo AND 100% power.

Something that helps me is to adjust the game volume levels in settings. Turn everything down to 10-20% except the slider that control swing sounds. Then I crank up the volume on your system so that I can hear the backswing. It’s very intuitive but somewhat faint compared to TGC2. Once you get it down it helps keep your tempo in check.

My swing is 100% visual. I push the controller back with my index finger. Does not matter fast or slow. All the way back and at the top of the virtual mans back swing I flick forward with my thumb . I handle the controller like I’m picking up a chess piece. Wrist is directly above the controller. Controller is between my legs. ( there is a joke in there somewhere). It’s trickier then in TGC2 for sure. I flick and my hand raises off the controller vertically. Slow downswing is my issue if I don’t flick all the way. Sound all the way down and music on. I never hear anything normally from the game. There is a swing sound? Didn’t know that LOL PS4 original controller

I have no answer for most of that lmao But I don't play with the sound either (or anything between my legs when I'm playing the game) So I don't think sound or lack of is an issue

I tell ya. When I had to move upstairs on a basement remodel I was horrible in a new chair. Posture means everything

Tried this earlier. Couldn't hear my swing, kept cranking up the volume until I could hear the back swing. Took my shot..scared the Jesus out of me. Just got back from the ER. Apparently it wasn't a heart attack, just a startle response.

I tell ya. When I had to move upstairs on a basement remodel I was horrible in a new chair. Posture means everything Agree completely. If you change your posture, proximity to the screen, or a different controller then your timing can be thrown off. Much like real golf, the timing of the turn at the top of your backswing is key.
