Sent it to it's death, you mean, lol. Name that movie..... "Crucifixion?" "Uh, no. Freedom." "What?" "Freedom. They said I haven't done anything so go off and live on an island somewhere." "Oh well that's jolly good. Off you go then!" "Nah, I'm only pulling your leg. It's crucifixion."

Anyone ever get stuck in their basement? Some years ago when I lived in Michigan I was in our basement at night and while I was down their someone not realizing I was down there turned the lights off. Couldn't see a damn thing. I tried to get to the stairs but I couldn't, walked around hitting walls calling for help. I was down there for two hours, most terrifying thing in the world. Grown man and I felt like crying. Of course when I finally got to the stairs i'm yelling "yes, yes..thank you." Still gives me the chills thinking about it..Almost as bad as my lost on top of a mountain at night story but that's for another time. LOL! How old were you Robert when this happened? Um, err 35. You just had to be there, lol.

But my BIG score was for $3 I got a vintage 1981 Tandy ElectronicChampionship Golf handheld game, still in the box: I played a little this morning and can confirm this game has no green chipping, wind waiting, or straight shooting! That is incredible! Nice find!

Hi there. Went to play real golf the other day in Shelby, NC. It was supposed to get into the mid to high 40's. We teed off in 36 degrees. Tough but manageable with hand warmers etc. Point of my story is the WIND started gusting on top of the chilly temps. 10-16 mile gusts. Shot an 81 and felt like I really played well. The WIND is just as tough in real life as it is in the game! Gotta love golf, real or video.

If your site an 81 in that then I'm super impressed!

Two years ago I attended the BMW Championship at Conway Farms. Hmmmmm...... An awesome hole, and looks cooler in person than it does on TV. Unfortunately due to the slant of the green, there is really no good close up view from the green area, so it's not a great spectator hole. I take it from the picture that you or someone is working on the RCR? As always, let me know if you need any help.

Yes Tim, it was Deerbrook. Sort of my home course that we play weekly. Nice -- I'm a Cherryville boy - born and bred. Played there all the time growing up (and still do from time to time) -- 10 min drive. from where I grew up.

Tim, the greens up there with eat your lunch some days. I feel like Deerbrook is the best kept "secret" in these neck of the woods. I'm sure you have also played Riverbend also. We used to play it alot until we settled on Deerbrook. Riverbend is now owned and operated by the YMCA (inherited) and they have cut dozens of trees which ruined the character of the golf course. They put in the new hybrid greens and they are good but firm. Maybe in the spring we could hack it around together at Deerbrook or somewhere. By the way, I grew up in Bessemer City and played against Cherryville in football when they used leather helmets. (just kidding) not quite that long ago, late 60's!
