I can not for the life of me figure out how a swing like this happens. If I push the stick forward hard enough to get a perfect downswing in master or pro clubs this is what I get. The only time it does not happen is when I use a partial backswing but then I lose distance. I have tried different controllers but it still happens. I thought once you reached the top of the circle on the swing meter your swing was completed. This appears to continue the swing and follows the stick returning to its start position even though my thumb is off once it gets to the top of the swing. Just cant figure it out!

It measures the stick movement, not your thumb...
If you release the stick, it moves back to the center position, which is what you see a part off in the feedback. Hold the stick in the final position a bit longer.

Yeah, I had that happen to me a lot and had to do what the Boggster suggested. It's annoying when you forget and end up with the upside down J.
