I was wondering if anybody else enjoyed these movies?
To me the original will always be the best but that doesn't stop me from liking any of the others.....except the 3rd which has no Michael Myers at all apart from a small clip on a TV in the film.
People hate on the remakes in 2007 and 2009 but i personally like them.
What do people think of the movies? Any of them.
Can't wait for the new one next month!

When I was in Pasadena, CA the wife and I visited several of the filming locations.. That's right, it was not filmed in Illinois and Haddonfield does not exist..
Michael Myers house is now a Law Office.. If you google map (Jack DeZell Insurance Agency South Pasadena, Ca) you can see the house..
The scene where he steps behind the hedges always gave me the creeps.. We stood beside the tall hedges and took pictures.. They actually spread leaves from the mid-west (Illinois) all over the streets and sidewalks to make it look like a mid-western town in the fall.. It was actually pretty warm when they filmed and the actors were burning up wearing sweaters..
The house where Michael Myers falls off the balcony is actually in a Hollywood, CA neighborhood.. We drove by it as well and it's smaller than you think..
We also went by the house where The Doc lived in the movie Back to the Future.. It's actually some sort of museum called The Gamble House in Pasadena, CA..
But to answer your question.. Yeah, I liked the Halloween movies..

The two trailers to the new film looked really good! I like the fact that they are following on from the first film so Michael is 61 years old and still murdering people

To me slasher movies really arenโt horror. But I do love me some Rob Zombie flicks! ๐
To me a horror movie needs to be more than just blood and jump scares. It has to get in your head.

Never seen any of them. Prefer my horror to be of the B-movie variety or even better horror comedy. Evil Dead series being the ideal example for both.
