In golf sometimes the best plan of attack is just to aim at the middle of the green. That's something younger players of today seem to forget or not realise and just want the glory shot every single time.

In golf sometimes the best plan of attack is just to aim at the middle of the green. That's something younger players of today seem to forget or not realise and just want the glory shot every single time. You can't blame the generation who have grown up playing/watching golf on modern courses. Width and angles died out in the 1960's and were replaced with boring, narrow and overly tree lined courses that focused on length rather than strategy. With the exception of a handful of architects, it is only now that we are seeing a revival of golden age design.
