Well am in a major lose lose situation here tbh. I keep it as it is I'll lose players. Drop it to pros I'll lose players. Some of the peeps not all who are angry about the masters I still see you getting good scores then bad ones. Exactly like me. I hit -10 for both rds in this but hit +15 in race to 2k in 1 single rd. If I find my consistency I'll be able to hit good scores. Speaking to thetaffman Thursday evening and we do think it's the courses that are messing the swing. On the other hand better versions of the xbox seem to help the swing so some might not notice this. Me and paul certainly do! Anyhow.... where in the knockout stages. I really enjoy this set up xcltaff1980. I'm in no matter which way you decide. Would prefer to stay master and keep grinding it out that way, but I'd stay in this society and play it on pro if thats the way you decided to go. |

I will play masters until I figure this crap out. Someone suggested I go back to 280+ driver, so I increased all clubs. I actually shot my first under par round in cc-whateverletterivebeenreducedto Yesterday. I was so stoked that for the first time ever I didn’t just go through all 4 rounds immediately.

Like everyone else I have had my share of struggles. Mostly inconsistency, but here is my 2 cents. I currently play in 5 societies that are Master. I can shoot over par or get lucky and shoot -6 or something. I also play in one Pro difficulty society. Last week I shot -25 in those two Pro rounds. I can honestly say shooting that -25 is less rewarding than shooting -8 on masters. I didn't once say, this is so much more fun. Because, even though I shot -25, I thought I should have played better.
With that being said, I enjoy every round regardless of the difficulty level. Do I get frustrated with poor scores? Absolutely. I'm on my way of missing my 4th consecutive cut on Tour A and I will be in Tour B next week. But that's more mental than the update challenge. So I get frustrated with my overall scoring or lack of it. But then I'll play well in another society. So it balances out.
By the way, Update Challenge sounds like a good tournament name.

I'll be playing regardless of the swing change. Only reason I would stop with these societies is if I totally bin the game, and I'm far too addicted for that now! blend123 I'm not sure if I'll be able to get our match in live. I think I'll be on playing tonight and maybe randomly at night on Monday or Tuesday but I'm out of town from Weds - Sun. I also didn't realize that it was the match play already so I started the round and only realized that it was a single rounder when John kindly reminded me that we were in the final round on the 10th hole... I'll leave my virtual golfer out at the turn for now and if we can find a time to play hell yeah, and if not I'll just finish up the round in the society that will surely see you off to round two of the match play. |

From what I’ve seen so far everyone is split in pros vs master. I for one am on the pro side. I feel like the good players that constantly shoot under par are the ones saying they want to stay on masters and mostly everyone else is on the pro side. I along with a bunch of people are just frustrated at the game, and some including myself can’t shoot under par which is one reason why we feel like pros are the way to make the game enjoyable once again.

Good debate. I wish there was a way to only allow Pro or Masters, and not have players lower the level just to get better scores.
I love this game but as others have said, it's a real chore at the moment.

I suppose in theory we could leave it to "open" and have flighted groups with some being masters and some being pro and just having to go by the honour system. Obvious issues are obvious but I think I trust everyone in here not to mess about. |

This is one of my new favorite course....however I played it terribly. Shot a -7 in Supreme Golf League on this course and backed it up with a 2 over here. Unfortunately, I cannot blame any update as I missed about 7 putts inside 10 feet. Hopefully I can slide in to next round.
