Looks great so far! One thing I would say about the lighting is definitely get rid of the clouds, at least when you're designing. Makes it so you can see a lot more and it's not so dark. Other than that, looks good!

Thanks Playkex! I just made it brighter overall for now. Can see things better and can play with the lighting a little more later. Some more pics. As always, opinions/critiques/suggestions are greatly The view from the tee on the par 5 4th. Really pleased with the look from this tee. Can see the large bunker on the right which the master clubs can take on but the other clubs will need to stay away from. You can also see the bunkers down by the green on the left side. The 2nd shot on the par 5 4th. Master clubs, with the right wind, can play it over/through those trees straight on. I will have to lay up to the left and worry about the bunkers there on the right. The before. The blank canvas of the front of the par 4 5th. The after. My first attempt at a rock wall front. Please let me hear any thoughts or suggestions on it.

Some more update pictures. Any thoughts? View from the tee on the par 3 6th. View from the tee. A snaking fairway. Tee shot on number 9. Tee shot on the reachable par 4 Number 11 Approach on number 12

So I'm through 16 holes on this course. Some I'm very proud of and some are alright holes! The new splines are making things SO much easier for the novice designer which will hopefully lead to some great courses going forward. Is this one of them? Doubt it but its been fun so far! Planting is rather difficult and frustrating...
Here is the flyover cam for the first 16 holes. I'm especially fond of 12! If you watch the video, let me know what you think. All opinions are welcomed!

I will start off by saying I love the look of your course I am only a rookie designer myself but I can offer you some feedback anyway lol. I watched your fly over vid a couple of times and here's a few things that caught my eye: I love the combination of holes 3/4/5 I think they go really well together. Have you play tested the green on hole 7? I would check with the ball on the back fringe to see if the steep rise might block the camera when putting (I've had that issue before). The lake on hole 8 could use a bit of a clean up on the edges, you can see some brush shapes on the banks. (another issue I have had in the past lol) Hole 16 looks like it would be my favorite so far, I love the look of it! Just a note from a players point of view: You have a lot of greens that are all pretty similar, I.E, they run a dogleg left off of the end of the fairway with a bunker in front. When playing a course and I notice the same/ similar thing repeated on more than a few holes it can be a bit of a put off. Please don't take that in a negative way, just a personal opinion from a random person Overall You have a lot of positives going for this course, I will give it a play when you release it!

Thanks for the feedback! I like 3/4/5 too. I’m going to rework 7 green altogether. It just isn’t doing it for me so I’m going to fix it all. I wanted 8 to be a long par 5, not having a wedge in. It was my first attempt at adding water using the water feature and not natural water. That being said, I hate that hole and will probably scrap it and rework something else. 16 is a cool looking hole. It’s a tough 2nd shot coming in. It’s a long pitch with a 8 or 9 iron or a knock down wedge with potential for the bunkers if you knock it down too much. As for the greens looking similar, you’re right. I forget when I’m doing it and then realize after I’m pretty far into the hole... I also couldn’t take any of this feedback negatively because it helpful and honest. I appreciate it. Here’s to another day designing!

I've got a couple of suggestions one is a personal preference the other is something that'sbeen suggested to me. First of all I'd suggest that you split the fairway on some holes just to break it up and bit, for instance ending the fairway at say 320 yards or so and starting it again at 360 yards from the back tees. Secondly it's something that was brought up in another thread regarding where the light rough joins onto the green. By shaping the light rough so it flows from fairway to green with no sharp edges. Check the link below as @tenahka has highlighted in the link below.

tgctours.proboards.com/post/358500/threadI appreciate the suggestions and can play with the fairways a little too. I need to go back through all of my greens again and clean some of them up for sure. Laying out the holes and working some of the sculpting before the clean up for now. Thanks for the insight!

CrazyCanuck did a course review on my course and gave me some good feedback. I went through and cleaned up and fixed some things. Big Run Golf Club has been officially released to the public. I hope you give it a go and let me know what you think!
