I'll update this more over the weekend by finishing the "increase loft" side of the punch chart. I plan on recording distances for the rest of clubs not listed and for the "decrease loft" side of the charts; however, because I rarely use the unlisted clubs or decreased loft, they probably won't get done until I finish up the other charts.  what does D R A W mean on the chart? |

waldini1985 When you bring up the loft box in the game it says DRAW down the left hand side of the box.

With risk of sounding dumb as hell could someone please explain how to use the chart? i.e work out the loft used etc?

i made a less detailed chart than tin cup's above. i also made it quickly, so it might not be super exact. also it only includes the clubs that i have in my bag.

The big reason why charts are such a touchy subject is because TGC1 was SO easy with a chart. There was an excel sheet where all you had to do was insert the distance, wind, projected rollout, and the sheet would give you an exact club and loft. All you had to do in-game was aim where the sheet wanted you to, swing straight (no tempo in TGC1) and about 80% of the time you'd be within 8 ft, which was an auto birdie because putting was just as easy.
So, the reason why nobody wanted charts in TGC2 is because nobody wanted 2 to become 1, even if tempo was introduced. Now, with TGC2019, people know that charts will only do so much because the game is so swing dependent and more difficult because of tempo and all other factors, so nobody really cares about it much anymore.

These have not been updated to account for the server update (as noted by the old carry yardages in the "A" column). If I can find some time this week I'll try and replace the charts in the original post with the new ones. seamount4life magpie27 PKR33 |
