Hi guys, I'm in the midst of re-creating my old "Course Design 101" tutorials from TGC1 and updating them for TGC2019. I have already recorded and uploaded the first two episodes to Youtube. These are very basic tutorials aimed at beginner/intermediate designers, so if you've been designing for a while, these probably won't help much. Here's a link to the playlist. Planning on 10 episodes that are hopefully no longer than 30 mins each. Let me know what you think and what you would like to see in future episodes! www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMfOamKMuHDtDwDy5DUSwgog7Kvqhoeq8

Great news! I watched and rematched the original series several times, including the 200-level tutorials, and learned a ton! I’ll look forward to the new series for 2K19. If you’re a new designer in particular, this will be a huge help! Andre also does a fair bit of design work on Twitch too. Drop in while he’s working, and learn from a real pro.

Hope I just dreamt that or something lol
Thanks Andre for the updates, your tutorials were the first I ever ran across back in the day and helped me tremendously

Andre here is as good of a place to ask as anywhere.... I got in and played around with a few of the surface methods and noticed that there is no way to add a s Condado surface to brushed surfaces without reverting to the old way? Is that your understanding also?
If true then spline bunkers are now a must IMO whereas they were not before.

I'm sad to say that, yes, advanced editing has gone for the rocks. Good news is, YOU DON"T NEED IT ANYMORE! They re-worked it so it's just part of your normal placement lol. You can still change size, bury etc, strait from the normal placement menu.

Watched the 2 eps last night. Really great learning about designer in 2019. Didn't even know about how to change that bit of rough on the edge of the green. Will definitely be watching more of these eps. What does close spline path do?

Will definitely be watching more of these eps. What does close spline path do? Close spine path means just that - the game finishes your shape by smoothly (sometimes) closing off your path. Many designer do not completely close their splines because it makes some jagged edges if it's not done just right. You don't need the close spline path tool if you auto-fill. Auto fill does both.

Andre...The King of tutorials and planting. I love it. They changed a lot in the designer. Way easier now...maybe its time for me to design my frist course. Cant wait to see more of your tutorials. You explain everything very well, like a teacher.
Tnx Andre.
