Sorry to bother you. Like I said, I was just curious about the distinction between the clubs other than the obvious distance and accuracy. Don't take it personally mate, it's just that this debate has been done to excruciating death (in this thread and countless others) and the timing of your question was right after we finally got the patch notification and the result being that season 5 can finally begin... For what it's worth, all history with this debate aside, I don't think your question is unreasonable, because nobody sane in the top tours would even consider using beginner clubs because the distance disadvantage is colossal. But the fact is we have the rule that pro tours must use master clubs, and that's the rule, end of story. We also won't have precise wind measurements in the top tours, again it's just a rule that the admins have decided on for an added challenge at the higher levels. Thank you. |

The club sets are difficulty levels, that is not debatable, nor should it be any longer. I am now convinced that they are difficulty settings. Reason? In the Golfer Customization section, it says 'Club Difficulty'. Because of that, I retract my objections. They, HB Studios, say it, therefore that's the way it is. Not that it would matter to me; I'd use Master clubs anyway. But I do have to agree that the professional tours should use the highest difficulty. |

As Lazza said, nothing personal, just bad timing! I’d literally just finished banging my head against a brick wall all day at work and then was buzzing for the patch but then realised that folk were still banging their heads against a brick wall re club sets. Again, nothing personal, but everything that needs to be said has been said and the decision on difficulties appropriate to tours is the correct one for a level playing field. Nobody should feel aggrieved. There are so many levels to compete at. |

Doyley So, if the patch works like it should, should we expect Q-School to start this Sunday? Looking like October 14th would be the safest date to bet on at this point - don't think the quick turnaround is best for a 2-week Q-School. |

As it appears there are more players using Master Clubs on 2019 as oppose to tour on tgc2, what are the chances of having a 4th tier on the Pro Tour, as in the European Challenge Tour, I don,t know what the logistics would be to do this but it,s just an idea I wanted to put out if it was possible.

Like PGA, EURO, WEB-A, WEB-B At any rate, one would still need to actually play good enough in Q to place in the Pro tiers using the Master Clubs. Club Choice is a personal decision everyone will need to make. Regardless of where people place, it will be fun any way you slice it! |

With all due respect, that's just a slippery-slope argument. What about a Euro A and Euro B? What about a PGA A and PGA B? What about more pro levels for people who still want the wind meter turned on? Like a PGA Z? I mean, where does it end? With every new iteration or idea comes hours and hours of behind-the-scenes work for the admin team. There are 11 tours on this website, 3 of them are labeled as pro tours, and as such they use the Masters clubs (which are the pro difficulty setting in the game). I'm sorry, but it can't get much simpler than that. |
