Has anyone reached out to HB to see if they would like to sponsor these tournaments ? I know they have their own and people can post over there but we have quite the little community here and imagine what would happen if HB worked with us to make it bigger. Of course, I'm sure the admin don't want them taking it over, but maybe a partnership? Their folks could come on here and read suggestions and such.. Just a thought.

The folks at HB Studios have been supportive of us but have at the same time voiced that they wish to show no favoritism for one tour over another. So I think they are aware of what we're doing (Lorin has played in our tournaments, actually), and may check out the forums too, but they may be reluctant to have an official partnership or role. As I say, though, they've been supportive and are well aware of our desire for an API and such (which is our primary request at this point).

That is good that they are interested enough to check things out. Maybe after 6 months or a year if things are still going strong they will see this tour as a viable place to put their name behind. I don't blame them that they might want to wait to see which, if any tour is strong enough to handle the annals of time.

Torn on this issue. I completely support TGCT, but I also run LGGT. I think I'd prefer HB Studios to remain neutral on behalf of all Tours, even beyond these two Tours.
They do their own tourneys (Not to this or LGGT's level), so I think it should stay status quo.

Just want to say quickly, that the customer-facing portion of TGCT would have to change entirely if HB were to get behind it due to licensing issues. We don't make any money on this, so we use the doctrine of fair use to "parody" the PGA tour/euro/web/champions/etc etc etc. If we were to get in bed with HB or with advertisers, sponsors, or start to charge membership dues, we would have to rename and rebrand much of what we've already done, virtually a complete overhaul. There would also have to be some royalty negotiations with HB (we wouldn't just give this to them or anyone else for free) that, frankly, we are not at a point of even thinking about.
So, if we had to completely overhaul the brand and the product, would that make TGCT lose its luster? I have no idea. But we would cross that bridge if and when we come to it and then build it. As for now, we just want to keep the participation up and expand our suite of services, both of which are currently trending very nicely in the right direction.
