So I’m trying to dial in my approach shots and I’m looking for help with wind and elevation.
For elevation I’m dividing the feet of change in elevation by 3 and either adding or subtracting that to my yardage. Seems to be ok but could use some fine tuning.
Wind on the other hand is kicking my butt. Is there a good way to know how much to add or take off based on wind speeds? I’m talking specifically about direct headwind or tailwind, I know it will change with less than direct wind.

Direct headwind is club dependent, but 1.5X is a good rule of thumb. The irons around 6-9 have the most wind effect.

I've found it's all relative to the club that you are hitting and then the club set as well.
Longer clubs are affected more due to them being in the air longer.
Shorter clubs not so much.
Good rule is...
Headwind - Total number and add half. IE:8+4=12. Add 12 to your total.
Tailwind - Total number minus 1/4 or so. IE:8-2=6. Take 6 off your total.
Then again, I suck and I just eyeball it quite a bit. However, I feel that's a good start. You can also practice in the range. Just turn that fool where you want.
Good luck!

Can you change the wind speed/direction on the range or do you just have to turn your player to match wind direction?

No, you can’t change wind direction/speed on the range.... gotta adjust your players aim accordingly.
