Will update my progress on re-working staypuft39 's original TGC1 course here. First pass through on the opening hole, along with a lot of looking at lighting and texture coloring. Probably still not final on those things but it's what I've settled on for now. Anyway, here are the photo's of #1 (note: forgot to turn my graphics settings up from potato mode, so forgive the image quality): Also planning on streaming a decent bit of this as I'm able to, and may start that later today. Will post links in the shoutbox when I'm about to go live, and hope you guys enjoy following along with my progress.

Holy Dinah that is Selke on roids and I love it. Really excited about this course getting a revamp thanks to Justin.

Okay, I'm going to admit, my first reaction to this was "why do we need to be remaking anything that staypuft39 did?" And that's not at all a knock on B.Smooth13's skills, he's very good as well. My original thinking was just along the lines of "why not leave a good course alone, and spend those talents on a new project?" That was just my initial opinion, which is only that... one man's opinion. However, I've changed my mind anyway. The more I thought about it, and also from watching reebdoog remaster a course from jacobkessler, I remembered that no matter how good different designers are, we all have different ideas and interpretations over a piece of land. In other words, what Justin does to Matt's course doesn't necessarily have to make it "better," it can simply make it "different" (and who knows, might make it better anyway). Likewise, what Brian does to Jacob's course makes it different, for better or worse. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's actually pretty cool to see the re-molding of land under someone else's vision. So count me as an interested watcher, and looking forward to playing this! P.S. I'm a silly XB1 designer, but if I ever had the chance to have one of you guys redo one of my designs, I'd certainly let you, so...

Have had an unexpected amount of free time this weekend and that's translated into plowing through this re-build. Think I only have 4 or 5 holes left to lay down - and it's getting easier as I go, because seemingly every "next" hole was already built so well that I'm just redecorating lol. Will try to remember to post an update at the end of today's session.
