I thought I read somewhere that there will be cuts in the tour. Any word on how these will be implemented? Play 2 rounds one week and then whoever makes the top half plays the final 2 rounds the next week (or second half of week) or will everyone play 4 rounds and a cut figured out after 2 rounds and discard evryones final 2 rounds whom wouldnt have made the cut?
Loving the site, roll on December.......just not the cold and snow here in Vermont lol.

I thought it would be easier to set the 'cut' after 2 rounds.

Their will be programming in place for the PGA Tour to limit R3 and R4 play to top 70+ ties. We will probably use the 10-shot rule for majors, which means any players outside the top 70 still within 10 shots will be able to play Rounds 3 and 4.
The cuts may be a little more laxed on the other tours.. Not decided yet. I know for sure the Champions and Executive tours will not have cuts.

Does that mean the league is set up where you'll have to play on Thursday and Friday and will know on Saturday if you can play or not? Guess I'm just unsure on the timespan on playing a tournament for a given week. I play on a tour at the moment where it runs from sunday am to sunday the next weekend so it doesn't matter when you play your round, but there are no cuts involved. Just Curious. Thanks

One way could be a certain number of days to finish round 1 and 2, say by Wednesday. Then round 3 starts on Thursday..

This hasn't been finalized just yet. When we nail down the details we'll post it in the news/announcements thread.

I am certainly open to whatever, but I know often I like to sit down when I have time and crank through 4 rounds all at once. I am sure I am not alone in that. That could be cumbersome to the cut process unless it was done post 4 rounds. At the end of the week if you missed the cut your last two rounds are wiped out, no harm no foul. Just my two cents.

You will be able to play all 4 rounds. I'm writing the code so that if you miss the cut, the scores you posted for rounds 3 and 4 would never be shown and deleted from the database as you never played them. The leaderboard will have a cool aspect because I'll be showing like all round 1 scores m-w, then round 2 will show up on wed. Then on Friday it will show round 3 scores plus MC for all those that missed the cut or WD for any that did not finish round 1 and 2. Then on Sat it will open up and show all rounds. Hope this helps.

I feel sorry for the poor bugger who misses the cut by 1 shot and then shoots 59's in their next two rounds and thinks they've won lol.

Also, if the leaderboards will become "Live" showing what the cut will be late in the week will that mean quite a few players wont start their first round until then or not even attempt to play it that week if the cut is very low under par and maybe go and play the European Tour instead?

Will there be a way to know the cut before you start your third round? not sure if I want to play in the third and fourth round of a tournament that I missed the cut on.

If you play your first two rounds and then wait for the cut to be posted - yes. Then, if you made the cut, you'd have Friday/Sat/Sun to get in your final two rounds. If you decide to do all your rounds before Thursday then the last two are subject to the cut.
