So I opened my last course project a few weeks ago for TGC2 as still have a couple of others that I want to close off before the new game is released. Havent done much in the last week or 2 due to having an incredibly busy schedule so hopped back in this week to get cracking on this project. Definitely one that im really enjoying putting together, most courses that I have built have actually had very little water featured throughout the course, so its kinda nice to work with a good amount of water thats there in Celtic Manor. This was also originally supposed to be Royal Portrush home of the Open Championship 2019, but with a bit of a lack of information surrounding the course, I bailed on that project for now. So current progress has the front 9 completed from a laying out and sculpting phase with a substantial amount of planting to be carried out. I did a playtest of the first 5 holes a few weeks ago if you'd like to check out current progress

One of my favourite courses from TW2014.
Great course and who could forget the Ryder Cup in 2010?
Looking good so far - can't wait to play it.
Thanks for re-creating it.

"Wales Alpha f9" is the published front 9 as it stands. Be wary, background sculpting, layout etc is not done in this published course, i am currently working on it at the moment but you wont see it in this course. Sculpting & Planting is nearly there just needs touching up. Greens are mapped and shaped but not sculpted just yet as waiting on green maps to arrive, due any day now

Working on the 15th hole, just having a quick comparison with an image from one of Mark Crossfield videos. Tee box area definitely needs a little raising and a bit of filling in to do but plenty of time for all that. Happy with current progress 😎

2 versions of the course have been published for the first 16 holes of Celtic Manor.
Ive put together two versions, one setup for conditions similar to the Singles Day of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The other is similar to the very wet Opening Day of the very same Ryder Cup.
CM 2010 - 16 Holes - Alpha CM 2010 - 16 Holes - Alpha rain
Background is not completed, planting is roughly 50% done, Green sculpting has not been completed at all and water is all in place but needs to be worked a little along with more planting there.

Celtic Manor Beta Published So my designer is doing some crazy stuff the last few days which isnt really enabling me to get this course signed off on. So I have decided to throw it out there and have people test its progress so far. 4 pin sets & tee sets set up. Varying difficulty between the 4, with 2 & 4 set up on the more difficult side. Put yourself out of position here and you will find birdies hard to come by. 16 thru 18 are the most noticable holes missing a lot of planting and polishing, will hopefully have a working designer soon to finish it off. A good few bits need to be fixed but feedback is always much appreciated guys.
