Is there some way to the size of your plot manually?

Is there some way to the size of your plot manually? You can increase plot size by placing a hole then using Move Hole to move part of the hole outside of the plot. I wouldn’t suggest doing it because it slows down frames a ton.

Ive done a links but it's only took up about 2/5ths of the plot leaving me with an awful lot of space to fill with planting. Just looking for a way to save a bit of time.

Use Delta, Highlands or Tropical and use the island backdrop. Then you can lower unused terrain into the water.
Bonus: fewer trees and shadows.
