Another tip is to look at the ball when you swing. I forget to do it myself but it does help. Keep your head down! This is a part of it where everyone is different and there isn't a right way to do it. People just need to find what works for them. For me, I look down at my controller for the back swing then look up and - in my mind's eye using my real eyes - I swing through the middle of the aim circle on screen. I used to look at the controller completely after I had learned the timing of the swing for the tempo but I seem to get more consistent straight swings when I look up for the down swing. But again, this is an area where everyone is different, just like how we hold the controller or what we use to swing the stick (I use my left thumb even though I'm right handed). I know this is late, and I actually tried this before seeing this message, but I use this exact swing method you said and the results are perfect. Finally shooting under par rounds and building my skills daily. Thanks for the tip. |
