I shot a 68 & 69 for -5 after two rounds. I doubt that will make the cut, so I'm heading off to the next course. I try to practice more than I could do on this course. My putting was inches away from the cup on every hole Nothing wanted to drop. Sometimes you are the dog, and sometimes you are the tree.

this course is very punishing if you miss the fairways. Plus the greens are very fast and have big slops. Tough scoring with higher winds for sure.

Just played through the whole tournament, definitely a better showing than last week (and more consistent). Hopefully a top-50 finish. Fired 65-65-65-64 for -25, didn't quite eliminate the bogeys (made two all week, one via a three-putt) but did a much better job converting 5-10 footers than last week. Left three or four putts agonizingly on the edge of the hole (including what would surely have been a rare eagle on 16 in round 3). Onto the next!

Assuming I survived the weekend, looks like a sponsor's exemption too! Just barely...

I went into Week 3 of the tour with a lot of self-confidence, after a very good tournament last week. Though my practice rounds at Shivering Pines didn't go as low as I wanted them to be. In Round 1 I had really hard wind conditions, so I was quiet happy finishing it with a decent 67. Went directly into R2, and my controller went extremely hot at that time. Almost everything went the way I wanted it, and so I managed to shoot an almost perfect round (for me) with a 61 on the scorecard walking of the 18th green. But the next day brought me back down to earth! Oh my god... what a horrible round of golf that was! I had two good birdie chances on the first 3 holes, but they didn't drop by inches. And from that point onward everything went wrong, and I got more and more frustrated. Finally I finished R3 with an infernal 73 on my scorecard, taking every chance to finish that tournament in a satisfiable position. So I didn't care really what R4 is going to be. I rallied a bit, and finished the tourney with a 69. I'm still not sure how R3 could go that wrong, but I need to leave that behind me now, and concentrate on the next event. Really looking forward to that course, as it seems to fit my play style a lot more than Shivering Pines. My only fear there is, that all the other competitors are going to go reaaaaaally, reaaaaaally low there. But we'll see...

69,65,64,65 for a disappointing -21. Had enticing week of practice only to have e putter let me down for most of the tourney. Even though all my practice came with light winds the heavy gusts I had for the four rounds wasn't the culprit. I left so so many birds on the lip. If I make the cut a top 60 would be lucky. On to the next

Played first 2 rounds so far. Since it was my first tournament here I was dealing with nerves on the first 5 holes or so, but then settled down a bit. Missed a lot of fairways and greens early, and missed a couple of easy putts later on, but managed a 65. The second round I put one in the water going for the green on one of the later par 5's (ended with a bogey there), missed two easy putts, but had a chip in and one putt around 30' that went in so I figure that evens out. Finished round with a 62. Also, am I correct in assuming that we can't enter scores until the tourney officially starts on Monday? Finished up with a 63 in R3 and a 59 in R4. R1: 65 R2: 62 R3: 63 R4: 59

Back up to jim Looks like you're staying too Phil, on the back of those scores. Well played. I didn't get on at all with this course and I'll be glad to move onto Loch Lorne. Currently sitting right on the cut line at -6 but if that goes lower I won't be crying me a river.

Managed to sneak my opening rounds in but played way over par. My practice round was good but I switched to my new mouse and pad and played the opening holes without practice and it was haywire so only finished off the rounds this morning.

120 + ties put the cut at -6 (134 players total) There were 6 players on exemptions from champions tour that made the cut and have won a Brand New Car(d)! Congrats folks.

Well played one and all. Well I completed 4 rounds and the best I can say for it is at least they were all sub-70. Oh well, onward and upward.
