Hello gents, Here I am still trying to get a course to a point i'd be happy to call finished, this is my second attempt, having learned a lot from my first effort. Decided to set a course in a fictional area of North Yorkshire in England. Pleasing rolling hills and forests make for a lovely backdrop to what is a classic inland English parkland layout, the sort of course I grew up playing. Have a look at the snaps, I'm really pleased with how things are coming along. I owe anything I've learned from lurking in VctryLnSprts streams and taking the generous advice scarpacci offered me after poking about in my last course save file. I'm hopeful to get this in beta in the next couple of weeks, and maybe, just maybe might get it done! Any comments most welcome, cheers! 9 and 18 reconvene at the clubhouse. The First Tee, don't hook it into the recreation ground, particularly if there is a cricket match on. Par 3 2nd Don't let the spectators bother you. 10th Green and 11th hole behind (Still a bit of planting to do here). The Difficult uphill 12th, don't go left. Par 5 14th tee. 15th Tee, walking distance to the pub if it's been that kind of round. 15th Green and 16th hole in the background Drivable but dangerous 17th Gratuitous wide shot

Chaps, I've found a bit more time to get back into Fence builder 2018 The designer, and am I'm happy to say i'm at a point where i feel I can share the work so far! Beta is published, please search for AF0.1 if you would like to take a look. I'm keen to hear any feedback, good or bad, and very interested to see if I'm in lag town on the consoles. I'm shamelessly tagging you boys who were kind enough to show some interest above. jivesinator Energ1ser theclv24 mattf27 Thanks for the kind words gents. A few more pics and a couple of fly-bys to whet the appetite. 18, all planted and triple retaining walled, three's company. 13th Green, no danger here for the hacker. Also note part of EPIC fence in background. 10th Green, I've got bumps on my bumps. FENCE!!! Cricket and Football pitches in the rec nextdoor. MORE BLOODY FENCING. Course side Battle Cruiser, possibly enjoyed making that more than the course. 3rd Hole Flyover 15th Hole, probably the best hole. Thanks for watching!

Gave this the 3 hole test, and went one extra and played the 4th. The sculpting looks as good in person as it does in the pictures, and I thought the strategy and green design was sound. Very interesting design using the Boreal theme to create an English countryside feel, not sure I've seen that in the game before. I will happily add the final version to my to play list.

I'm not sure I have any negative feedback. The layout was what I would consider very realistic. There was definitely a few instances of risk/reward. The greens were challenging and by no means unfair. Oh, yes...great fence work too!!!😁 Not sure what you plan on changing but I thought it was fine as is. I played back tees, pin 1, had 8-15mph winds and had no trouble at all. Only shot a -2, but that is because I still can't putt for crap. Well done!!

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to give it a look! I'm glad you didn't run into any issues.
i don't have much to change so far, I will be moving a couple of pins away from slopes ever so slightly, and I feel the planiting is a bit too dense in some areas and is costing me a few fps on the PC so I don't want too much lag.
Apart from that, I just need to put in a couple of other sets of tees and we're good to go.
Thanks again!

I opened up the beta, scouted out the sculpting and a few other things before promptly backing out before hitting a tee shot. It looks awesome and I didn't want to spoil my first play through when the course is released.

Looked and felt great had some great details, liked the paths between holes, dont think ive seen it used like that before?, wish we had a better cartpath textures to do "trails" like that that doesnt stick out as much as paths. overall really nice and realistic planting throughout playing in a hurricane made it a nice challenge (20+mph on most holes) only criticism, way to much sand in the bunker at hole 6! (got a completely plugged lie) The only way i see this not ending up on tour is IF framerate is an issue, i had some issues that i havent seen before, but one of my fans died just before so might just be an overheating issue on my end. well done!

Holy crap does this look amazing! I don't know if I've ever seen a designer with so much improvement in a second course. At least from the pictures, this is TOP NOTCH stuff right here, and the planting looks incredible. This will be right at the top of my list to play when the final publish comes out. Fantastic work here!

These were the type of courses you played as a kid?? Bloody millionaires...pfft.
In all seriousness, the nine I played were some of the most beautifully sculpted I've experienced in the game. Lovely views all round with that typically English feel to it.
Looking forward to playing the rest soon. Well done!
