Ok guys I’m wrestling with the ideas to do an alternative style of greens and I’d love to hear thoughts and opinions on the green pictured below.... how it drops off pretty much to bunkers and has seemingly no defined edge ...could it work??

As long as the playable parts of the green are of ample size, it would be a really cool look.

In general, if the humps and bumps of the green mimic that of the surrounding areas, think the concept would work very well. Specifically in regard to the picture, I'd be a little concerned that the amount of sculpting so close to the bunker edge would lead to the jaggies, but if you could avoid that, it would look really good.

It could definitely work in terms of playability and construction, but it would be quite difficult in places to get ultra smooth bunkers without jagged edges.
