Alright, so I want to get into streaming on the PC. I don’t know too much though... and I’m specifically wondering if my PC is strong enough to stream through OBS. 64-bit system with AMD Radeon. Internet speed is typically about 23mb/s download and 2mb/s upload. For those of you who do stream on PC, I’m curious as to if you think these rates are good enough to stream and if so, the best stream quality I could offer without making my games super laggy.
Thanks!

Suspect your system will be fine (need to know CPU type/speed to be sure) and OBS is very efficient, so your upload will likely be limiting factor as it's pretty low - 2mbps = 2000kbps. The twitch guide suggests you'll get 480p@60Hz or possibly 720p@30Hz if you're lucky... stream.twitch.tv/encoding/OBS also has a great switch that can use spare GPU to help encoding - helps a lot.

Biggest Tip: Learn how to add the chat to your stream broadcast. That really helps viewers later.

Sorry to bump this since it’s been like 8 months, but just tried out some stuff. The audio seems to be recording (mostly) fine (no mic), but as you can see from this replay, the video is extremely choppy. It says stream quality of 786p is the only option, but I’d like to limit it to 480p since the encoding was overloading on OBS, however I can’t figure out how to do this. I set the output bitrate at 2000, which should’ve kept it at 480p but it doesn’t seem to have worked. Keep in mind... sometimes I can be kinda stupid with technology lol. Anyways, any ideas? EDIT: It appears to be a twitch issue, not an OBS issue, as recording video works fine, it's just streaming that's an issue. Stream replay link:

Not a twitch issue - most likely your upload bandwidth Jacob, keep reducing bitrate and other quality settings until you get a stable
To change the resolution: File -> Settings -> Video -> Output (Scaled) Resolution
Recommend 480p @ 48fps if you can get it (looks almost as good as 60fps) - otherwise you may have to go 30fps.
